Today, as Captain Xue, Grace sails the open seas in her warship, Courageous, her twin Warforged Pistols becoming symbols of defiance and rebellion, the embodiment of her indomitable spirit. As she fights for a brighter future, she remains a symbol of hope for those who have been cast aside, those of mixed heritage who long for acceptance, and the oppressed who yearn for freedom.

P.S.: Wondering if I could just give her crew something like Warforged Resolve.

Using "Warforged" in this manner makes a lot of sense to me as Warforged Resolve is so similar, adding an automatic shield, but with no die roll required. It also makes the idea of adding an automatic skull to a Warforged weapon symmetrically reasonable.

A certain amount of Sturm und Drang with this one, but I think we're on the home stretch.

Captain Xue, while ostensibly a pirate, is actually rebelling against institutional injustice. As at the end of Captain Blood (1935 film), Captain Xue has become a privateer - in this case, for Vydar. Thus, while she may have an affinity with pirates due to her past, she currently attracts a wider variety of volunteers based on her charisma, courage, and character, as opposed to the baser motives generally found in pirate crews. Captain Xue's Courage reflects this.

The original hand cannon was Chinese (Huochong). Modern hand cannon are high caliber pistols as described in an earlier post. Her pistols are distinguishable from Agent Skahen's as being more powerful. Hand Cannon reflects this.

I have chosen Commander to be her Class, as Captain may be a problem for SoV approval. (That may change.) However, her "promotion" would not change her sobriquet for most seafarers.

So . . . here we go again! The Gang will be playing Thrasher's pod draft scenario on February 21st, with Captain Xue included in one of the pods I have submitted.

Her healing power is generated by her singing, she blocks distance attacks with her shamisen (musical instrument), and Kebari are hair needles (from Naruto).

Lots of cool figures in that blog post, but I suspect many will be different by the time they reach this thread (especially those already mentioned here earlier).

1. Very nice card for Captain Xue.

2. How about the power name: Captain Xue's Charisma? I think it fits your explanation better.

3. Kiharu: I said I really liked the healing power. How does she stop distance attacks with her instrument?

4. I would change Hiringu Uta to Healing Song. And change Kibari to Hair Pin Throw. You seem to be using Asian terms correctly, but most people will have no clue about what they are. The basic power actions should not be dependent on further explanation that is not on the card. Players should understand what's going on.
