chas and I have a playdate for 6/26, originally scheduled to be Islandscape practice at his place, but, since I cannot go, we needed to decide what we would do instead. Conveniently, this thread appeared:

Well met!

chas came over today to help me practice for Islandscape. As per my Islandscape 2013 Preparations, I played

150 Roman Legionnaires x 3
140 Othkurik
100 Marcus
50 Me-Burq-Sa
440, 17 spaces (15 figures),

in four games against a couple armies chas brought for the occasion.

Here, chas proxied the new VC units,
Augamo and Kursus, with 10th x 3.

It has been three years since I attended my last (and only) Islandscape. The preparations for it were intense.

I did prepare to play in 2010, but was unable to attend.

This year, the format for Islandscape contains the following:

• Players bring one, or two, pre-drafted 440 point Heroscape armies which can include Classic Heroscape, Dungeons and Dragons Heroscape, SoV and C3V custom Heroscape figures (no Marvel, C3G, Star Wars, or other custom figures allowed).

• Army size is limited to 16 figures.

• Before each game players secretly choose which of their two armies they will be playing based on the map...
