Marro Divider #4's Custom unit ideas
Marro Tacticians
Marro Common Squad (4 members) Tacticians Wild Medium 4 Tactical Bomb If you have at least one Marro Tactician remaning, you may place one tactical bomb marker on any empty space at the begining of each round. If an opponent's figure moves onto that space, roll the 20D. 1-4 nothing happens 3-17 one wound 18-19 two wounds 20 destroys the figure Life- 1 Move- 5 Range- 6 Attack- 3 Defense- 2 How many points should these guys be? I'm thinking 80ish. Should the D20 roll be less of a chance? Should they have less defense? _______________________________________________________________ Marro spearmen- Marro Common Squad (4 members) Spearmen Wild Medium 4 Enrage- If a Marrow spearman's attack is blocked, it may attack again. During its second attack, you may add one extra die to its attack value. Each marro spearman may only use this power once per turn. Life- 1 Move- 5 Range- 2 Attack- 2 Defense- 3 I'm thinking about 60 points. I'll playtest at 50 though _______________________________________________________________ Marro Defenders- Marro Common Squad (4 members) Defenders Wild Medium 4 Counterstrike- When defending with a Marro defender, all excess sheilds count as an unblockable hit on the attacker Tough- Marro Defenders always add one extra sheild to their defense roll Life- 1 Move- 6 Range- 1 Attack- 1 Defense- 3 About 50 points (Common Izumi-Marros) _______________________________________________________________ Marro snipers Marro Common Squad (4 members) Snipers Wild Medium 4 X-ray Vision- Marro snipers do not need a clear line of sight to attack their target Gliding- Marro snipers may ignore elevations. They may glide over water and obstacles such as ruins without stopping and never receive falling damage. A gliding Marro sniper may fly over figures without becoming engaged. When a Marro sniper starts to glide it will take any leaving engagement attacks. The total amount of spaces moved up can be at most 5. Life- 1 Move- 4 Range- 8 Attack- 1 Defense- 2 70 pts _______________________________________________________________ Marro Specialists Marro Unique Squad (4 members) Specialists Wild Medium 4 ICBM Once per game for each figure on the board, roll the 20 sided die. 1-17 safe, 18-19 the figure puts a mutation marker on its army card. 20 figure takes 2 wounds Mutation Bonding After taking a turn with the Marro specialists, you may remove a mutation marker from one army card to take a turn with that squad of hero. Marro Tacticians 110 points I think. How are you going to remember which tile the tactical bomb is under? Can it be placed in water?
Marro spearmen: 70 points perhaps, and give them a reach of 2 (long spears). Marro Defenders: Don't like this too much myself - I think counterstrike should stay with the Samurai. If going ahead with it I would say at least 90 points (considering they're a squad of 4). Marro Snipers: Gliding - I like this - perhaps gliding should only be allowed when the initial hex is higher than the destination hex (to differentiate it from flying), and make it 8 move, ie significantly more than the normal move. I would make the att 2. 60 points. CRC |

Fixed- range 2 spearmen, sniper points but I bumped it to 70 because they're better than the stingers. I think the bombers aren't good enough for 110. I'm making them 100
Atk is 1 because gliding makes it easy to be 2. IMO 4 attacks of 2 (mostly 3 because of gliding) is too much for the huge range. I think the spearmen should be about 70, but I'm going to get more opinions before I change it. |

The Tacticians are ridiculous- with three squads that gives you twelve bombs that you can surround the opposing start zone with. A better idea(at least IMO) would be:

This way you can't just "block off" the start zone immediately. You can, however block off certain areas over time. These would be intersting units to try out. Although I would just lose the bonding altogether. That way they're cheaper. 70 pts. maybe. EDIT: Defenders having tough and three defense and counter strike is crazy. I understand the theme but I would just make it two. Imagine them with Raelin... *shudders* Also with one attack it seems like you're trying to make them a screen unit. Where the heck has this page been?
Several good ideas here MD#4. I like the spearmen especially, but I think they would need to be tested at 50. Mostly because we have the Stingers with higher attack that can shoot at 5 spaces away. Holy crap these are some of the awesomest customs I've seen I love them! I think the tacticians should only be able to have one bomb down at a time so you can't have a huge wall though. Besides that and maybe downing the defenders' defense a bit, I think its awesome. I especially love Enrage!
