I've actually wanted to make some Kyrie squads for awhile, the problem is getting enough Kyrie figures without paying insane Ebay prices

As Raudulfr Shieldcrusher said, it's all about light. If you use a set up like the one he posted you should be able to get pretty good results no matter what camera you use.
