Hey everybody, this is @Xorlof . We've just gotten word that the service we use to host our server is going to be discontinued next month. This came as a surprise to us. We've hosted Heroscapers there for many years.

We're still going to be here for y'all, as always, but because of the short notice, our migration to a new hosting service will be less orderly than we'd like. We'll work to minimize any disruption, but at the very least there will be a couple of periods of slowness during the next few weeks. Nothing extreme--but eagle-eyed longtime users may sometimes notice an extra quarter second or so for a page to load. There will also be one or more nights where during the early AM hours (US Central time) we may have the site down for a while to test some aspects of the migration. During those times, there will be a page in place explaining the situation.

This loss of our hosting provider comes at a time where we were getting very close to having our long-awaited new site launch. We've been working on it silently for a long time and are excited to shake off some of the cobwebs of the current site. Today's news may push that launch back a couple of weeks--we're not sure at this point--but you can still expect that in the very near future. If you'd like to beta test the new site, send me a PM and I will add you to a list for when we open that up.
