Where to start with 3D printing? Favorite fun, easy units for new players?

Hi, I recently picked up a copy of RotV to play with my son, and we are having a great time! Now, I want to expand our army. I have a resin printer, but I have no idea where to start. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the enormous list of units!

What are some of your favorite 3D printable units for beginners? Which are the most fun? I'm interested in both squads and heroes.

Also, when you print your cards, do you just do them single sided?

Thanks in advance!

Which is your biggest priority? Easy, fun, or good? One of those is subjective. It also depends on what you’re missing. But from an easy standpoint I’d not start with Marro and pick something a little chunkier.

As for fun? I think they’re all fun so that makes it hard for me to give recommendations. For good, I’d look up the power rankings in the strategy section of the forum.

Hey, thanks for the response! I'd kinda stopped watching for replies. Anyway, I would prioritize fun and easy over good. This isn't going to be extremely competitive. I currently just have the Rise of the Valkyries set. I'm planning on printing proxies for others, like Deadeye Dan, Krug, Skeletons of Annelintia (from C3V, mostly because I found cool skeletons to print) and some others. What are your favorites?

Soulborgs - Jandar's Omnicrons, Vydar's Majors and Trons
Gorillinators
The Esenwein Family
Zombies of Morindan

These are some of my favorite Classic Scape figures

Knights of Weston are classic, and they go with the viking warriors in the RotV set!
Sonlen is another good one, as he can heal other heroes.
Aubrien Archers often create many good stories with their frenzy chains.

I also echo the recommendations given by others above!

Maybe a good question to ask is, “Are there any figs that don’t 3D print well?” (I want to know as well.)

This is great info! I've found quite a few 3D scans of figures online, and I'm also open to proxies if I find cool models!

I would guess Venoc Vipers since there isn't much meat to them, but I am not speaking from personal experience. Spears can be tricky, so Ashigaru Yari and Templar Calvary can be a challenge.
