Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Hahma - Wolverine
Necro - Deadpool
Bats - Mr. Hal Jordan
GreyOwl - Thor
Griffin - Lex Luthor
Whitestuff - Doomsday
A3n - Wonder Woman
Balantai - Nightcrawler
Matt Helm - ?
Spidey - Barry Allen

I debated between two that I knew none of you would choose and the one I'm going with is pretty funny.

So you want a hint?
P.M. me.

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

I wouldn't waste my plastic addiction on either Comedian nor Mad Hatter.

Guess again.

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

I also guessed Riddler ... :p How about another hint, eh?

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

I just gave you the second hint, don't you think asking for more is a stretch?

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Yep. Plastic Man.

Edit: Yep, it's one I wouldn't have done and it's definitely funny! :p

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Plastic Man, I knew it. And I have the mini too.

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Darn it! I got it after your first PM hint! You ninja'd me with "plastic" and "stretch".

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Funny we all guessed at the exact same time. :D

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

I'm actually really happy we went with at least one semi-obscure figure with this "wave".

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Balantai is the winner!

Golden age hero, iconic powers and I don't have to rely on the Flying symbol.

I know he's an "off the wall" choice but I have some ideas I'm hoping we can work with. He's definitely not the offensive powerhouse of some of the other C3G choices so I think it would be nice to have a Spidey-level type hero.

If everyone is disappointed, I can throw choice number 1A out there or just have the group vote and assign me one. That would be kind of cool to try.

He's your choice MH. He should be fun to do and different from the rest of what's out there so far. :D

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Agreed - I really look forward to seeing what you come up with. Plastic Man might not be #1 on my JLA list, but he's no further down than #20 (and my lists can get pretty long).

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Since the playtesting for X-Men seems to be completed, do the rest of us now wait until someone posts something substantial (like a card) for an ala carte figure or . . . . ?

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Uh yeah ... the actual next order of business will be doing proofreading (and then voting by the heroes to release) on the cards once GreyOwl and A3n finish putting them together.
Once we open up Ala Carte fully, people should post links to their threads in this thread and Griff or I will put the link on the first page. Then we'll be in the design process until we vote to move each thread (on an individual basis) to playtesting. This will give you and others plenty of a chance to see how design goes from the bottom up and offer your own input and ideas and critiques. Once a unit is moved to playtesting we, of course, hope to get plenty of participation from all over. I know I'm eager to play with something besides the X-Men at this point (though I have been sneaking in some preliminary games with my Hal write up ...).

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Just let us know who everyone picked, so we can get those figures before the increased demand dries up the supply. :)

I just wanted to clarify since there's been 10 pages here in the last 3 days that I can't really add much too, but not nearly that kind of activity in finishing up the X-Men set. Sorry, I'm just one of those "finish what you start" kind of guys.

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

The actual figure selections should be made in each of the threads which, once they're up, will all be linked this thread.
Once they're "released" the links will be converted to "Books of" and moved over to the Books of C3G Index.

Oh, I completely understand - which is why I haven't opened the floodgates completely to Ala Carte yet (though I've been tempted!). But, really, right now, most of the work is going on behind the scenes between GreyOwl and A3n and there's not too much any of us can do at the moment outside of snapping some figure pictures.
