Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Oh, I completely understand - which is why I haven't opened the floodgates completely to Ala Carte yet (though I've been tempted!). But, really, right now, most of the work is going on behind the scenes between GreyOwl and A3n and there's not too much any of us can do at the moment outside of snapping some figure pictures.

OK, no problem. I just got in at the tail end of World's Finest and most of this one was already done as well, and I just am not one who likes to sit on my thumbs.

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

I hear ya ... if you wanna do some preliminary playtesting on what I've got written up for Hal Jordan, feel free to send me a pm. :p I think he's going to be a tough one to cost (he could end up changing a lot once the thread gets started, though).

Edit: Or maybe we should consider opening up Ala Carte early? I hate to leave GreyOwl and A3n behind ... but I also hate to have us eager to work on things with nothing to work on. Let me know what you think, guys!

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

I know he's an "off the wall" choice but I have some ideas I'm hoping we can work with. He's definitely not the offensive powerhouse of some of the other C3G choices so I think it would be nice to have a Spidey-level type hero.
Just please don't give him a D20 based defense power...

We move forward as a group... and we leave no man behind. Neither GO, Whitestuff, or A3N should feel like their contribution is a burden that is keeping them from enjoying the excitement of opening up Ala Carte.

It sounds like all of you have already started a la carte.
I'll be happy to help with what and whatever I can.

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Still here, still lurking, just doesn't seem to be much to do anymore. Can't wait to see a la cart roll out.

No "20-sided die" power, no extra markers, no symbols... but yes a unique teak or two. You guys may hate everything I do with him but that's OK, I'm all good with the team creation.

And yes, let's wait for the art department. In the meantime, I suggest we all read, reread and reread again all of the cards as they do them. Don't want another Joker incident.

If everyone is disappointed, I can throw choice number 1A out there or just have the group vote and assign me one. That would be kind of cool to try.

Plastic Man is my favorite superhero ever!

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Looks good. :) I can't wait until we can adjust some "finished" and "current" project links.

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

Ok I wasn't sure where to post general ideas for discussion anymore so I just put it here. Does anybody else think it would be a good idea to link from the "Books of" to the pdf/s they are contained in also?

It took me quite some time yesterday locate the pdf for the figure cards as 1) it wasn't obvious in the "Books of C3G Index" thread that it would be contained in the "Downloads" section & 2) I was expecting it to be somewhere in the "Book of" the character itself.

Cheers

I thought the exact same thing myself lastnight, but I didn't want to disturb GO too much.

Here is a list of PDFs that I need for the individual Books:
  • Each individual glyph card and army card (pic and art) that can be downloaded separately in their respective Books
  • Each glyph sticker image that can be downloaded separately in their respective Books
  • Each scenario map build instruction without the scenario, just the map, so that each map build can be shared in its own download page separate from the scenarios
If you could somehow email or PM those to me that would be great. I know that you and GO are working hard on the templates right now off site, so I didn't want to burden you, but if you have any of those files, I could use them to make our Index more efficient.

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

I wasn't meaning individual pdfs just a link back to the pdf they are contained in - maybe with the page number.

Cheers

Re: The Life of C3G: How C3G Works

What about a C3G version of the A-Z? If we end up doing as many of these as we say we want to, we will need it.

We are already doing that with this thread: INDEX

Honestly, you guys need to familiarize yourselves with the system, and you can only do that by spending some time checking out our stickied threads. They are stickied for a reason you know. ;)

Re: The Life of C3G: Directory

Gang,

I'm going to be off-line for a few days. My Spring Break is getting spent moving all my in-laws' stuff from Colorado to Arizona. Have fun without me.

Re: The Life of C3G: Directory

You might just get lucky and get back just in time for the start of Ala Carte. Even if you don't, have a great break. :)

Re: The Life of C3G: Directory

Nice to see you guys getting your thinking caps on, and getting the creative juices flowing again... Interesting stuff!

Will the "Rise of the Mutants" cards be posted in the "Books of" thread as a convinently printable download?
