I was referring only to my stories, specifically the Tales of Eslo of which only one takes place in Valhalla. Though I do need to add in the last one I wrote with Eslo escaping from a dungeon.

It's on my list to index, but I'm pressed for time right now. I should be able to update the index Saturday though... as long as 3D Star Wars I doesn't wipe me out! (J/k, it won't.) ;)
EDIT: I was wrong, it did. Anyway, I've now added The Gene Chronicles, heh Land of Shadow, The Price of Un-Life, The Ranger of Tilyan, and Sir Fellswain Voldaren to the index. I have also updated the Last Battles of the Valkyrie.
EDIT: I have now added That Consuming Darkness to the index, and deleted The Quest for the Talisman of Thor.

UPDATE: The Index has been fully updated. Entries have been updated, links double-checked, and new ratings procured. The author standings at the moment are: bumper15 in first with a whopping 5.3. Orcs Blade in second with a 4.6. Me in third with a 4.5.

I am figuring on overtaking a spot up there. I am releasing my newest fan fiction The Final Entry of Thormund's Journal. An intriguing story of the time following the great war against Utgar. His armies have scattered or returned to their worlds, the wellsprings have decayed, militias and barons rise to power, and the only light in the suffering world is Jandon, Jandar's core lands which are ruled by Drake and Raelin's eldest son, Raelor. Rangers roam freely led by Slink's second son Salen'ek, and accompanied by Drake's second son, Karth they are the peacekeepers of all the lands under their influence.

The Ashen Mere is officially completed.

Whoa. That sounds good. Really good. If you build the setting the way you did the Ashen Mere, you could very easily overtake one of those spots. Don't jump into the action too soon, keep the pace steady. That plot sounds way too good to rush.

UPDATE: Finally figured out what was wrong with the link to the Rise and Fall of the Pumpkin King. It turned out I copied half the link and then copied all of it again. No wonder it didn't work. ;) Link updated.
UPDATE: I have removed the Glorious Spy Conspiracy from the index. When I wrote it, I never really tried to make it good like my other fictions. I was literally taking a break from the writing of LBV. I just threw it together and wrote it up on the spur of the moment. I don't think it will be particularly missed, so I have removed it.
UPDATE: Removed The Ranger of Tilyan after contacting elvenwizard9, the author. The content on that thread has been deleted, so there's no longer anything to read. (Unless you count comments on invisible material ;) )
UPDATE: Updated the ratings to Grey, Dilmir, Dilmir: The Curse of Feylund, and Kingdom Hearts: Brilliant Rise. These ratings are complete.

Important update:
I am revising the rating system. I've always felt that having only 1-5 to rate a fiction with is too small a number. When rating things, I always felt limited. I repeatedly found myself wishing that I could rate something a 4.5 or the like. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Therefore, all ratings will now be on a scale of 1-10.
The scale may be found below:
1: Terrible
2: Very bad
3: Bad
4: Poor
5: Not bad
6: Good
7: Very good
8: Excellent
9: Awesome
10: The best of the best

I am not going to resend out all of the rating PMs, because that would clutter up everyone's inbox again, and it's a lot of work. ;) Instead, I'm simply going to convert the ratings I have over to the 1-10 standard by multiplying them by 2.
For the 6's (which would convert to 12's, and thus go off the scale), I will compute them normally as long as the result is a number at or below 10. If the result would be above 10, I will count them as 10's.
This means that the ratings will be slightly skewed until next winter. I might be able to run another full update in April to take care of this, but I'm not sure.
Until then, however, I'd like to invite anyone who sees this to revise their ratings if they want, and give them on the 1-10 scale. Simply PM me and I'll tell you what fictions you have read and what you rated them so that you won't miss any.
This is not obligatory, it would simply be convenient. ;)

UPDATE: I have now begun to update the ratings on the OP. The New? section is updated, as well as the fan fiction by author section. The alphabetical listings still have to be updated.
UPDATE: The alphabetical listings have been updated. I have updated their ratings, as well as provided information on how many votes each received. This should help in gauging their popularity.
UPDATE: I have updated the status to Valhalla Reborn (1st edition), now completed. I have also added an entry that was missing (Dilmir: The Final Flame) and fixed various spelling/grammar errors I found elsewhere.
UPDATE: Added the Promise to the Index, now under the section 'Short Stories.'
UPDATE: Updated the entries to Dilmir: The Curse of Feylund, which was claiming a 4.5 with 9 votes somehow, and Valhalla Reborn, which was still listed as Active.
UPDATE: Updated Dilmir: The Final Flame, now completed. Also revised some references to the old rating system.
UPDATE: Took out some biased comments (;)), updated several statuses and descriptions, and added in The Promise in the general fan fiction listing, and the by author listing. Also updated the OP to be a bit more professional.

Hey guys so I have great news! I have decided to write a new Fanfiction! After all this time! A few changes I'm making.

1) I'm basing it off of the cultures I'm learning about in school, so it will feel more historical with some magical elements.

2) I am going to write it in its entirety before starting to post.

3) I am going to work on it on a fixed schedule.

4) I am going to draw up an outline show it to TRGF to get some feedback.

I should have the story posted by the end of this school year if not earlier. I hope to keep it fairly short in order that I may not lose my audience and my motivation. A great short story is better than a long mediocre story.

TGRF you may put this story in with the following criteria.

Title: Son of Slink
Expected Release Date: May 30th 2015

Excellent! I look forward to it, and I will be glad to give you feedback on the outline once you have it ready.
I wonder, are you planning on posting it chapter by chapter, even though you will have it all written out? IMO, that's the best way to go.

I will post it chapter by chapter. The plan is to have no more than 10 sections and no more than 3 chapters per section. We'll see what happens. It may take me a week just to get the rough draft going, but I can send you the opening chapter which I wrote on Thursday.

An update for my readers: I will be writing a short fan fiction of your choosing. If I forgot to send you a PM about this, let me know. Once that is done, I will conclude the tale of Dan Beorm in what I intend to be a massive and final book. That will be my last fan fiction on this site.
I do not intend to leave HSers, and hope to stay here and keep the index updated, preferably joining in on the fan fic competition every now and then.

UPDATE: Fixed the title to Son of Slink (I had previously called it Story of Slink for some reason).
UDPATE: New! Added reviews to some fan fictions. These reviews are taken from comments on the story thread itself. Since most comments refer to particular aspects of the stories, most are not able to be made into reviews. This project likely is not complete. If you would like to provide a review for something you have read, let me know.
UPDATE: I have changed the format of the index slightly. Previously, you had to wade through my dialogue on how things work, when it is in reality pretty simple. I put the main attraction, the index, on top, and shifted my dialogue to the bottom. ;) I also fixed some formatting and editing several things to both add to professionalism and prepare for the annual update.
UPDATE: I have just discovered that I never added everything mentioned in this post. Major mistake on my part. I have duly added Dragonslayers Heroscape Images, HEHart, Heroscape Micro Hero Comics, and Talyn's Images. It is late. I will add the fan fiction in the morning.
UPDATE: Added How Armies Are Made: A Short Story and Having a Marvelous Time to the index. The site was shutting me out, so further formatting fixes will be done at a later time.
UPDATE: Updated the competitive ratings for me, Crixus33, and Dysole.
UPDATE: Took all of the short stories, REMOVED them from the Alphabetical listing, and put them in the short stories listing. They may still be found in the Authors listing also. Added Visions, Return, Return, Part 2, and Heroscape Poetry?.

Important Update: This is the third year that I have run the annual update with a reliable rating system. After this update, anyone who has not replied 3 times in a row will be removed from the list for that item. This is done so that I will not continue to send PMs to those who are either not present, or simply not wishing to respond for whatever reason.
UPDATE: The annual update is about to begin. I am aware that some things are not indexed. This will be fixed shortly.
UPDATE: Rating PMs have been sent out. Many thanks to those that have already replied. Ratings will be averaged out on the 26th and added on the 1st. There are still a few things that need to get indexed, I will get to that shortly.

2015 Update

The 2015 full update is now complete.
Sorry it took so long. Due to the changing of the rating system last year, a lot of ratings went down. This doesn't mean they lost popularity, it's just because people can now rate more accurately than they could before, which in turn made the ratings drop from their inflated levels. Most ratings have dropped by .5 of a point, on average.
The fan fictions that have increased in rating are: Indiana Jones and the Wizards of the Coast, Welcome to Valhalla
The ratings that have stayed the same are: Vengeance, Valhalla: Hall of the Slain, Valhalla Reborn (original), Valhalla: After the End, Untitled, Underground, Trials of Syvarris, The Price of Unlife, A New Marr Book 2, A New Marr, Learos, Kit: Young Ninja, Grey, Gorthan's Scape Fics, The Flag Bearer Wars, The Fall of Valhalla, Curse of the White Cross, Crawl Through the Dungeon, Ceasfire, The Black Necromancer
All other fictions have gone down in rating.
I also incorporated rating from the Short Fictions, and will be removing the New? section.
The ratings for best author are currently:

  1. bumper15 (9.25)
  2. TGRF (8.89)
  3. Akralon (8.7)
  4. elsinora (8.33)
  5. Orcs Blade (7.875)

Yeah, there's some pretty good reads out there. If I were to suggest a few, they would probably be Indiana Jones, The Promise, Kit: Young Ninja, and its sequel, Vengeance. Some of the best, right there, IMO.
Also, on the rating for Thunderstorm... only two people have posted on the thread, including me. I haven't read all of it yet, and Tornado never replied, though last I heard he was going to read it.
