You MAY use this thread to ANNOUNCE coming fan fictions or art pages that you plan on releasing. If you have a thread already dedicated to that contribution, please use that thread instead.
If, after having read a fan fiction, you would like to rate it, you can simply leave a rating in the thread for that fan fiction and I'll pick it up. Alternatively, if you prefer to remain anonymous, you can send your rating to me via PM. Be sure to include a link to the fiction you're rating if you do it this way.
If you see something that should be indexed, please let me know. Note that the older contributions have not been indexed due to being too buried. I will index these if you find them.

There are ratings and statuses for fan fictions. Beneath the rating will be the status. The statuses are as follows:
Below the status will be a description. If you would like to provide a description for something you have created, please PM it to me/post it here and I'll put it in. Some descriptions are by me on fan fictions I have read. If you (as the author) wish these removed, let me know.

Fan Art Contest: Are you the best artist? by Wonderball68

The fan art contest works much the same way as the fan fic contest. It has the same general rules and guidelines. The only difference is the art. While some of us feel that drawing may simply not be what we are best at, Wonderball has made it clear that the contest will be judged according to creativity, and not skill. Although not active, it is only because there was not enough interest in it. Wonderball will be happy to continue it. Feel free to drop by and submit your drawing.

Looking to start a fan fiction? We encourage whatever you have to post. In my indexing, I have seen many a fiction that started strong, but was dropped after a few chapters. This is, unfortunately, the fate of many a fiction. The below threads will, I hope, aid you in making your fiction stick. Remember, anyone can be a writer.

Ever felt bored while reading a book? Ever wonder why no one seemed interested in your fan fiction? Though there is a huge list of possible reasons, a good number could be explained by a lack of tension.

Items will be entered automatically into the index throughout the year as I find them. Fictions will be indexed only when their thread comprises over 1.5 pages (including content and comments). Everything else, including art threads, short completed stories, miscellaneous items (such as calendars), and fictions as PDFs, will be indexed regardless. If you see something that should be indexed but is not, please let me know either here or in a PM.
Full updates no longer regularly occur. PMs requesting a rating might be sent out occasionally to secure a rating for a fan fiction. If you have provided a rating for a fan fiction, it is highly unlikely you will be asked for a rating for that fan fiction again.
You will be automatically added to the rating PM list when you post on a fan fiction. If you would like to abstain from rating (completely or only for a specific fiction/time period), simply send me a PM letting me know.

A note on the ratings

All of the fan fictions will have a rating, unless no one rated it. This has happened for some fan fictions, but most have a rating. The ratings are as follows:
The ratings are collected from those that have read the fan fiction and averaged out. If you have commented on any fan fiction that is indexed here, you are on my list to supply a rating. If you wish to be removed from the list, all you have to do is shoot me a PM. New ratings are collected once every year. As not everyone supplies a new rating, the old ones will also carry over unless the reader changes them with a new one.
It should be noted that individual authors can attain a rating based on their fan fiction(s). A fan fiction will only contribute to its author's rating if it has more than two votes.

Coming Soon - The fiction has been announced but has yet to be released or begun.
Active - The fiction is in the process of being posted chapter by chapter. In order to be active, a fiction must have these updates with some sort of regularity.
Not Active - The fiction has not been updated for a long time (typically a month or over). It is not completed.
Completed - The fiction is completed. This may result in the chapters being spread out through the thread, or gathered into a centralized place like the OP or a PDF.

Description: Well, the title may not be the best, but this fan fiction of SoA's is just as good, if not better than the Rise of Hel, sadly never completed. It ground to a halt after a few chapters, which left all of its readers hanging, if I recall correctly. Utgar has unleashed a new, deadly horror upon his enemies. Will the alliance survive, or will they be gobbled up by the unknown beasts that now roam Valhalla?

A broad topic is introduced, several characters made by different people, and a great fan fiction is born full of adversity, detail, and engagingness. Different people post, writing the story from their own character's view. If you want something to read that is bound to meet your interests, read the Prison Faction. (I have not read it yet, and am speaking in theory.)

Everything else, including art threads, short completed stories, miscellaneous items (such as calendars), and fictions as PDFs, will be indexed regardless. If you see something that should be indexed but is not, please let me know either here or in a PM.
Full updates no longer regularly occur. PMs requesting a rating might be sent out occasionally to secure a rating for a fan fiction. If you have provided a rating for a fan fiction, it is highly unlikely you will be asked for a rating for that fan fiction again.
You will be automatically added to the rating PM list when you post on a fan fiction. If you would like to abstain from rating (completely or only for a specific fiction/time period), simply send me a PM letting me know.
