Upcoming Renegade Releases

I can't see anyone fielding the scions with solen, the longbows, the fishmen or double ice trolls, and dominating the classic meta. There are just to many great armies across the years.

Are some of the new armies strong, sure but competing against heavies, kow, 4th/10th or q9 is just an uphill battle. Likely why renagade rolled out that wack price structure.

Some of the strongest units in the game are from RotV. I've yet to see any legitimate proof for a powercreep argument.
he 2 HP thing is what I'm referring to, btw.

Power Creep I consider is the points.

Speaking of, has Renegade done anymore point alterations?

Have they actually released cards with the edited points, or that still a nah?

I've yet to see a 2 figure squad that was terribly worthwhile for its points. Maybe 2 HP changes that, though.

Skywhale,

Ah, I understand the vertical posts now, thanks. I always wondered why I had to keep turning them until they fit, because having only one big wall, I wasn't using long wall segments much, although I had used two to use that on segment. But I didn't really get it yet. Its a good design.

Any comments on stacking? Can the new segments also stack both orthagonally (up and down) and diagonally?

No.
They're also almost certainly not doing any further revisions to old figures, as Renegade plans for ALL of their 'major' events going forward to use only AoA and newer figures.
Will they rebalance any AoA figures? No idea.

Lord Hierarch,

The Bears have been out for some time now with 2 hit points each, although they are Unique. And the Pirate Dreadnoughts (misspelled as "Dreadnaughts") which are also Unique have been revealed since the Hasbro offering too. So why the surprise? Or is it the Common Squads that you are concerrned about?

What?

*Double Checks*

These are common wtf I thought these were unique.

Of those, which were confirmed? I thought Vrono and Girushia were completely unrevealed.
We had Chana, Widow, Marachott, and Dreadnoughts fully revealed and they are unchanged minus general and name.
I think we had Haluchott's abilities, but not stats.

:coffee: This information was taken today from the cards now posted on the Renegade site. I printed them out for proxy play.

I know we have the new stats. I'm asking about the haslab stats for Girushia and friends.

I mentioned Anitar, because she filled in a few cards way back when from what information she could gather. The only cards I know that were unrevealed at that time were the SOTM Heroes and the new Kyrie. But she might have inferred a few values on her old cards back then; you'd have to ask her.
I've been using them up until now as she made them, and as they are noted here. The War Council members might know, but are probably prohibited from commenting.

I agree that they will probably never rerelease cards with point changes, because I assume it will be an ever changing thing similar to how TCGs and other tournament styles games work. Prices will probably always be in flux. There really isn't a point to rerelease cards when you can just go in and change them on a computer for when people build armies.

Powercreep is something better for the same cost.

Such as a hero that has 3 attack for 50 points, and then a new hero that has 4 attack for 50 points. (Everything else the same for this example). So strictly better and not worth using the old card. It’s prominent in TCGs because they need constant sales and innovation. Not as much of that in HS, we’re not talking about 250 cards every couple months.

Sure definite possibilities for it, but most things don’t really apply.

I'll note that I've just counted up all my AOA cards including the new Embers of War, and I now have 61 AOA cards. Considering that there are about 200 Classic and another 200 VC Customs these days, that's a lot of cards to play! Not even mentioning Supers...of which there are hundreds from C3G and individual designers! Around here, we play with them all, proxying when necessary!

I don't think C3V has any supers. :p I blame myself for the constant C3G/C3V confusion. We should've named C3V something more distinct when we were starting it up. VC suits it better, imo.

I have no idea what you could possibly mean by orthogonally and diagonally... these are hexes we're working with.

The pillars can stack on pillars of the same shape (triangle on triangle and square on square). Walls can stack on walls of the same length (short on short and long on long). New square pillars should stack on Master Set square pillars, but don't expect the new walls to stack on Master Set walls.

Skywhale,

By "orthagonal," I meant in this context conneting posts by short wall connectors (vertically or horizontally if you will). By diagonal I meant connecting posts with long walls (diagonally if you will). Thanks for the clarifications!
