Today in HeroScape!

There are now lots more Cowboys and Cowwomen if you use Customs! I picked one who looked like Willie Nelson with a cane out in a hobby store bin, and it turned out to be the one suggested for one of them!

That’s awesome! I’d love to see someone set up the OK Corral fight with customs!
 
Hmm... well there are of course the four cowboys:
Johnny "Shotgun" Sullivan -- seems like part of the Earps to me.
Deadeye Dan - probably also an Earp
Guilty McCreech - one of the Clantons
James Murphy - on the fence, but leaning towards a Clanton.

Now who fills out the rest? Of course we could use the Star Trek original series "Spectre of the Gun" episode and say the gun fight at the OK corral takes place on an alien planet and use about any gun slinging figure.
 
C3V/SoV have Cal the Smuggler, green alien outlaw, but in western garb, Clayton Pierce, a human lawman, Garret Burns, outlaw, and Louis "Mad Dog" Malone, lawman. Also, there is Josie Whistlestop, outlaw, and Kate Crawford, lawman, but maybe breaks theme a bit.

I love TOS and forgot about that really trippy version of the gunfight. Clantons as Marro would really sell the villainy!
 
It’s Teddy Roosevelt’s birthday, so play with Knight Irene and the Frostclaw Paladins. Too bad we don’t have a mounted cowboy to play the Roughrider!
 
It’s National Internet Day. HeroScape wouldn’t be the great game it is today without the fans organizing and sharing on the web! What’s your favorite HeroScape web resource aside from Heroscapers.com and Discord?
 
The ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ took place on this day in 1974 between Ali and Foreman. You can have a real rumble in the jungle using HeroScape terrain, of course. Who are your Ali and Foreman stand-ins?
 
To be Ali and Foreman it has to be two big brawlers that can pack a punch. I think Krug would be a good Ali -- gets stronger as the fight goes on. Foreman probably the Ogre pulverizer since it sure looked like he was pulverizing Ali in the earlier rounds.

And yes, I'm old enough to remember the fight (or at least the all the hype and the highlights on the news).

Good picks!

I know this isn’t a serious army idea - wasn’t intended to be - but now it has me thinking of trying it (mostly because I haven’t played with either for a while). I haven’t tried one fig vs. one fig HeroScape. Probably wouldn’t be great without a scenario to mod the rules and get the opponents moving around.
 
I’m betting you know it’s Halloween. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a HeroScape-based costume. Got any pics of those? Anyone dressing up as a HeroScape character this year?

Well the Dumutef Guard shows some nice chompers as do Mimring, Braxas, and Su-bak-na, but on a purely most useful set of chompers it goes to Grimak

It’s always about Masha, Masha, Masha! 😉

I like his power set and he does have great teeth. Also, you know the honorable brush and floss daily, so very on-point for National Brush Day!
 
Today is the Day of the Dead! Time to play any and all of the undead units in HeroScape! What 300-point army are you building out of only undead units? (Also Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was released today in 1983, which seems appropriate.)
 
It’s National Accessory Day: Which HeroScape fig has the best accessories (not including weapons)?
 
So, which HeroScape figure has the best accessory? It was a tie (6 votes each) between Ewashia’s Water Tiles and Sonlen’s Dragon. I usually don’t like ties, but I think this is a great result because I was torn between all the options. The water tiles are a very cool mechanic and the dragon (in both versions) is a terrific accessory.

On this day in 1922, King Tut’s tomb was discovered. Opening the tomb likely freed Khosumet the Darklord, so make sure you play him today if you got him!
 
On this day in 1935, Parker Brothers launched the board game Monopoly. It doesn’t have much in common with HeroScape, but it’s a major event in the history of tabletop games. If you had to take one thing from Monopoly and put it in HeroScape, what would it be?

Collect $200 every time I survive a round :rolleyes:

Maybe somehow have a bonus (like the double rent if you own all properties in a color) if your army is all one general or one species? The bonus could even be specific to help boost a specific item; for example, if an army was all knights or dwarfs bonus is an move +1, all elves or vipers and the bonus is defensed +1 -- although this may get too complicated.
 
Chance and Community Chest cards. Random boon or dock when you step on a glyph.
