hey...

well, HQ didn't quite last a year. i'm thankful someone got it going after the dramtic collapse of .net but i gotta say, "i like heroscapers.com better already!"

first of all ... ITS WHITE! thank you grungebob (or whoever) for making a forum that's not all dark and brooding. and, alas, it reminds me of .net!

number two... i hope i may actually be able to upload images on this site. i never could figure it out on HQ. i have 10 master sets and we build some pretty awesome maps that you guys should see. maybe now you can! either way, the home page mentioned something about being "graphic friendly" so i'm hopeful that works out.

number three ... one of the reasons (that i didn't mention before, netherspirit) for not hanging around HQ much anymore besides the fact that hasbro distribution is getting worse not better was the glitches and problems over at HQ were pissing me off. i don't have time to fool around with all that crap.

number four ... did i mention ITS WHITE! ah.... just like the internet should be... white and clean and pretty!

There are those of us who like to brood...

*squinting eyes* man this site is really bright! *puts on sunglasses* ah, that's better.

Where is this "out" that you speak of?

Is that the place with the bright light that burns your skin off, melts your figures?

ha...

i just watched "logans run" last night for the first (and probably last) time. when they finally escape the underground city and see the sun for the first time they're all like "hey what's that? ....it's warm".

I still think that is was a fun movie, Not the best by, but still a lot of fun.
I did catch about the last 30 minutes on TV a couple months back. I may have to go and buy it on DVD, I don't have it on VHS any longer.

dont waste your money. check it out at the library like i did. i cant understand for the life of me why people buy so many dvds all the time. especially when most of them are such crap!

Ahem, at the risk of getting into a flame war w/Carvaggio, please tell me that you did not hate LR. That's one of my all time favorite movies.

Looking for some love for LR here, that's all.

Logan's Run....

dang what was that bad movie they made last year or year before that was based on an updated version of LR?

personally LR was fine like it was..especially when ye consider the time period it was made in..

cheers

are you talking about "the island". i never saw it but logans run did remind me of the commercials i saw for the island.

and no.... i'm not saying it was a bad movie. i happen to love cheesy '70s styling. i thought the movie was really fun to look at and even liked the two main actors (that chick was hot) but the end was stupid and the old guy was annoying. up until the point they escape, it would be the perfect movie to play on the walls of a super-fab, 2001 inspired martini bar where everyone is all cool and mod and the girls have asymetrical hair cuts and lots of mascara. its my kinda place and... ITS WHITE!

70's era movies...they didna really believe in doing the "happy happy" endings, alot of them if ye sit down and watch them, make ye want to actually think about what happened and the why part of it..

look at Blade Runner...

I'll give you some LR love. I loved that movie. I think that was a great era for sci-fi & horror movies.

Everybody today needs over-the-top special effects or they think a sci-fi or horror movie sucks. But look at Blade Runner & the original Star Wars, there were some cool effects, but it was the story that sucked you in and kept you coming back for more.

But hey, thats just me.

How do you put the pictures in and have them visable? :? I can get them in, but not even I can see it. How do i change that? :?

Just use the img tags and the link must point directly to the image not to the page that it is on:

Find a picture you want to put in a post. Right click on the picture and select properties. Find the URL line on the properties window and copy that. Paste that URL line in-between the
tags.

Here is the code:

'

'

Hope this helps.

Newb.

I would use the add image to post button. Rather than point to any pictures on HQ as it's doubtful it will stay up forever.

Newb, I feel sad seeing Brunak trapped like that. You should let him see the outdoors, but then he'd kill Frank Burns and we'd be without the comic relief. Never mind.

GaryLASQ, keep the MASH quotes coming. You've got at least one guy here who appreciates it.
