The Predict the Victor Game: Begun Anew, May 31st

I realize that I played team1 horribly, but hey, these things happen. It would have been tricky for them to pull out the win at any rate.

Based on wins, percentage places you higher on the list in case of a tie

1.Oros 2-0 (100%)
1.Blazemane 2-0 (100%)
2.Bengi 2-1 (66%)
2.mccombju 2-1 (66%)
3.iceman3317 1-0 (100%)
3.hi1hi1hi1hi1 1-0 (100%)
4.goaliescaper 1-1 (50%)
5.A_Train 1-2 (33%)
6.roostertail9000 0-1 (0%)
6.Sup3rS0n1c 0-1 (0%)
7.gorthan313 0-2 (0%)
7.J-unit94 0-2 (0%)

Darn, I think Team 1 could have done better, and even own. Not all of it was lost with the minions; getting Cyprien in after the agents might have changed the game a bit as well, especially if he could have engaged two at a time.

I debated that move for a while. I eventually decided against it, because the Microcorp had a marker on them, and Q9 could have come up behind me had I failed to kill one. It was probably the bad choice.

The big deal with the minions was I spread them out. Sure, they got a good shot on Q10, but if they had all been together in the starting zone Q9 wouldn't have lived.

Not my best job playing a team...or maybe I just did really well with team 2 :p

Alright, time for a new battle!

Same map as last time, Badru Valley.

In the Red corner...
Three wolves of badru, two squads of stingers, marro warriors, DW8k, and Isamu!
DSCN0909.jpg

In the Blue Corner...
Three Squads of Macdirks, two squads of knights, Sir Gilbert...and then there is Sonya and Marcu who ruin the theme!
DSCN0910.jpg

So who will win?
When choosing your army, please refer to them as the Blue Team or The Red team. Keeping track of who's blue and who's red is much easier than keeping track of team 1 and team 2.

Red Team! I mean, the MW have NEVER failed to pull through for me! And 8000 LOVES melee squads! Hint for Red Team: Wait for Gilby's cronies to come to you. Don't attack Gilby until the Macs are dead!

Red team all the way baby. I love the wolves and they will literally eat those MacDirks for breakfast.

The Knights will be tough, the range of the red team should pull through for the win.

Red team.

I think the MacDirks are poorly favoured in all of the above matchups. Nonetheless, I think the sustained power of 4-5 attack activations per order marker can win out in the long run. In casting my vote (as below), I'm gambling. I think my vote is sound provided that the Knights of Weston lead the charge and put as big a dent as possible in the Stingers and Wolves. Likewise, Gilbert must survive and must retreat once wounded.

Knights and MacDirks ftw.

I would just like to say, my strategy with the blue team is to lead with the knights. Once gilbert reaches around three wounds, I am planning a full retreat. The stingers might be able to finish him in one turn though, so I will try to make him steer clear of them.

Once the knights have set up an affective screen and Gilbert is woudned, it's all up to the macdirks. I doubt they can win unless I can eliminate DW8k without too long, but I see that happening easily enough.

I tried to make this a pretty even match up. DW8k really shouldn't be able to get through the knights at least, and wolves~Macdirks. We'll see how it winds up being.

Round 1
Initiative to the Red team
Both teams andvance uneventfully, so this is at the end of Blue team's first turn
DSCN0922.jpg

The wolves take their chances and pounce. One fails.
DSCN0923.jpg

The knights strike back swiftly and mercilessly.
DSCN0924.jpg

DW8K moves up, but he doesn't roll any skulls.
DSCN0925.jpg

Gilbert manages to roll a huge sum of Jandar symbols, and two full squads of Macdirks move to ready position.
DSCN0926.jpg

DW8K kills only one Knight, and the begin to move up on him. He retreats further back to kill two.
DSCN0929.jpg

Some macdirks move up, and are ready to engage DW8k on their next turn with some lucky Jandar symbols... Some where in here Round 2 starts with the red team getting initiative, but they were going to take the next turn anyway.
DSCN0930.jpg

Only to be destroyed by some wolves
DSCN0931.jpg

But the macdirks strike back savagely, and clear the path.
DSCN0933.jpg

Round 3
initiative to blue team
Gilbert kills the final road block wolf, and the scotts men finally catch up to DW8K
DSCN0934.jpg

He really did a lot less than I thought...but it's not my fault he whiffed his rolls!
DSCN0935.jpg

DSCN0936.jpg

You can see the #2 marker on DW8K in the above picture. Well, he never used that, so the Scotts took it.
DSCN0937.jpg

Wolves bite.
DSCN0938.jpg

The Marro line is threatened.
DSCN0939.jpg

Stingers avoid conflict to take height, and a Scot's life.
DSCN0940.jpg

The Marro line is begining to fold.
DSCN0941.jpg

Another turn wasted thanks to stinger drain
DSCN0942.jpg

More Marro Blood shed
DSCN0943.jpg

The final stinger can't do it all on his own
DSCN0944.jpg

Round change
Initiative red team
Isamu tries to kill gilbert, but only boosts the Macdirks
DSCN0945.jpg

A lot of good that did him
DSCN0946.jpg

Next marker on Isamu, and the match ends.
DSCN0947.jpg

Blue Team wins!

I made a slight mistake in playing this one. Every round, I put all of my markers on Gilbert. Every one of them, every round. I didn't realize in order to use bonding, it has to be on the squad not the hero....Wups.

I've never used more than one squad that bonds with the same unit, so I'm sorry. Things probably wouldn't have been the same, as the knights would still be moving well into the second round.

I'm slso sorry about not breaking it up into rounds, but normally what I do is I take picture of the cards to show wounds. Since no one was wounded until the last round, I didn't do this. What this means is I had nothing telling me when the round had changed. Again, Wups

I was worried when I saw the MacDirks advancing so early, but they really came through. GG.

Sorry for the delay, here is the next one.

Map:
DSCN0949.jpg

Forces of Good
Drake(old), Tarn vikings, 2 TSA, ninjas, Kozuke
DSCN0950.jpg

Forces of Evil
Cyprien, Sonya, retchets and Iskra, 2 wolves, Me Burq Sa
DSCN0951.jpg

Alot of this match will depend on how well Cyprien performs.

I'm gonna bet against the Vampire and go with the forces of good.

Wow, sorry for the huge delay. Any way, here is the next battle, and my apologies

Ropund 1
Initiative evil team

Wolves advance, and Kozuke advance
DSCN0953.jpg

Wolves draw frist blood, and get a high D20 roll. Two samurai meet their end. One wolf whiffs his attack, and is conterstruck
DSCN0954.jpg

The last one trys to get revenge, but for some reason 4 deffence is greater than 6 attack...
DSCN0955.jpg

Iskra moves up and can't summon
DSCN0956.jpg

That is one stuborn wolf
DSCN0958.jpg

Round 2
Initiative to evil team
The wolves Kill the final Kozuke and spread out a screen.
DSCN0961.jpg

Ninjas Ambush the wolves, and slay one
DSCN0962.jpg

now, at this point I got very into the game. I'm pretty certain in this one picture the wolves advanced, and the ninjas did on their turn.
DSCN0963.jpg

the TSA shoot one wolf before he can run
DSCN0964.jpg

Iskra just can't seem to summon those retchets, but can kill a ninja
DSCN0965.jpg

Drake moves onto the road so he can be ready when the time comes.
DSCN0966.jpg

Round 3
Initiative Good team
Ninjas kill a wolf, but can't harm Iskra
DSCN0969.jpg

The wolves leave only one ninja remaining
DSCN0970.jpg

All of the samurai have moved onto the road (except for one in the back)
DSCN0971.jpg

The final ninja vanishes from Iskra, and yes I know he technically can't move there since he's still next to Iskra.
DSCN0972.jpg

The Vikings use their slow move to go...nowhere fast.
DSCN0973.jpg

Cyprien moves in on the ninja, but weak rolls let the ninja live.
DSCN0975.jpg

The TSA move into the fight, but can't wound either Vampire.
DSCN0978.jpg

Cyprien attacks the Samurai, and kills one with his touch. He then takes counterstrike wounds from the other one.
DSCN0979.jpg

Cyprien is surrounded! He takes a few wounds (due to the nature of life drain, and my forgetfulness, I can't rembmer the exact number of wounds per attack, so instead I will just tell you the number of wounds at the end of the round)
DSCN0980.jpg

He is able to Chill one of his attackers
DSCN0981.jpg

Drake moves onto the sceen to attack him hard
DSCN0982.jpg

Iskra helps kill one of Cyprien's attackers, earning her points without rolling a 14
DSCN0983.jpg

Round 4
initative to Evil team
Cyprien has 4 wounds on him

Cyprien snacks on the vikings
DSCN0985.jpg

Drake tries to attack him and misses
DSCN0986.jpg

Cyprein kills two more vikings, bringing himself down in wounds
DSCN0987.jpg

Drake attacks the vampire again
DSCN0988.jpg

Cyprien heals himself on the last viking, and fails attacking drake
DSCN0989.jpg

Round 5
Initative to ???
cyprien has 2 wounds

My Camera ran out of memory at this point, and I didn't realize it. Drake and Cyprien fought back and forth, and some TSA died along the way
DSCN0994.jpg

Round 6
initiative to Good team
Cyprien has 4 wounds

Basically, drake and Cyprien Square dance in a Circle for the whole round.
Drake gets wounded, and Cyprien is up to 5 wounds
DSCN0996.jpg

Round 7
initative to good team
Cyprien has one life left

Drake takes advantage of a good initiative roll, and ends the Vampire's after life. Sonya takes two wounds automatically and well.. the second picture says it all
DSCN1001.jpg

DSCN1002.jpg

Drake goes on a killing spree
DSCN1004.jpg

DSCN1005.jpg

Round 8
Initiative to evil team

Thorian speed thwarts Me Burq Sa, so he must make his moves carefully.
DSCN1008.jpg

Drake kills the last wolf, so now sonya and Me Burq are all that still remain
DSCN1009.jpg

Me Burq Gets close, but can't wound Drake
DSCN1010.jpg

Drake doesn't let him live any longer after that
DSCN1012.jpg

Round 9
initiative to evil team

CYPRIEN!!!!
DSCN1016.jpg

Revenge status: Fail
DSCN1017.jpg

Good Prevails!

Just to makes sure we don't have any delays, here is the next battle
Torky's Horde
2 grubs, Torky, AE, retarius, and Marcu
DSCN1018.jpg

Vs.
Charos' Warriors
Charos, Syvaris, Onotashi (I couldn't find Isamu anywhere, but now that I'm typing this I realize there is a figure in my pocket...), James Murhpy, and 2 Marro Drones
DSCN1019.jpg

Who will win? Tor-Kul-Na, or Charos?

Let's see here.......Torky has Hogan's Heros(AE).......But Charos has Mrs Comic Relief(Otanoshi)......I'll go with Charos! Torky only has his normal attack to use on Charos, and Retarius can't use his net on Charos. If Charos holds down Torky, while Syv and James snipe away at the Grubs, Charos's team should be able to win.

I would say Charos' army in a heart beat...

but those dang airbore elite. If they land well they will slice through Syvarris soooooooo quickly. And then there are those grénádés. Uh...

:help:

You know what, I'm going to go with the solid appeal of the character stats on Charos' warriors. Besides, Charos is going to run through that army like a T-800 :)johnwoo2:) in a China shop.

At least... lets hope.
