Character Bio - Lobot was the chief administrative aide to Baron Administrator Lando Calrissian on Cloud City over the planet Bespin. His brain was connected to the city's central computer which allowed him to communicate directly with the city's computer network. In this capacity, he served as the city's first and only computer-liaison officer.

CLOUD CITY ADMINISTRATIVE AIDE
At the start of the game, choose a small or medium Unique Hero you control to be the Administrator of Cloud City. For the remainder of the game, that figure's Class is Administrator instead of the Class listed on its card.

NETWORK UPLINK
After revealing an Order Marker on this card and before taking a turn with Lobot, you may take a turn with one squad of Independent Guards or Independent Pilots you control. Instead of moving and attacking with Lobot, you may take a turn with another Administrator you control.

EFFECTIVE ADMINISTRATION
If you control Lando Calrissian and he is the Administrator of Cloud City, Lando, Lobot, and any Independent Guards or Independent Pilots you control are never attacked when leaving an engagement.
 
Some awesome OM management/flexibility here and for real cheap. Requires you to build around him, of course, and the army itself isn't all that flexible, but it should feel good to pilot. I'm curious about the prospects for future Independent Guards and Pilots...
 
If anyone is on the fence about playing this guy, I can tell you that he is super useful. You can park him in the back of your start zone, giving all his administrator powers to the figure of your choice, that you get to bond with the bespin guards or cloud car pilots. Then when the other hero gets his fill you bring out lobot to bond with the guards as well. Last game I played with him, I made Han Solo the Administrator. That means, Han Moves and Attacks, Chewie Follows, and then you get to take a turn with a squad of guards or pilots. Its pretty sweet. There are tons of combos you could use with this guy.
 
Glad you like him! It took a lot of work to make sure he was balanced. We were a bit scared of adding bonding to just about any figure you want, but it seems to work.

I recall discussions way back then about how certain builds featuring this guy are overpowered, most especially with Bib and Gamorreans. I think part of the problem was the guard ability on the Gamorreans, but I also think adding bonding to pretty much any hero, especially in the HoSS context with a lot of small and medium heroes at 150points or more, was too much.
