Character Bio - Boba Fett made his most notable bounty in 3 ABY, when he captured Rebel hero Han Solo, and brought him to Jabba. A year later, during the Battle of the Great Pit of Carkoon, Fett fought against the group of Rebels. However, he was knocked into the mouth of the Sarlacc by Solo. Though no one in recorded history had ever escaped from the Sarlacc, Fett was able to escape, although not entirely unscathed. Thanks to his iron will and Mandalorian armor, he was able to fight his way out of the beast's belly, killing the Sarlacc. Back in action, he continued his work as a bounty hunter.

Boba Fett Text Version

BOBA FETT

Independent
Clone
Unique Hero
Bounty Hunter
Cunning
Medium 5

Life 5
Move 5
Range 6
Attack 4
Defense 5
Points 170

BOUNTY
At the start of the game, choose a Unique Hero to be Boba Fett's Bounty. When Boba Fett attacks his Bounty with a normal attack, add 1 die to his attack.

FIBERCORD WHIP
Before attacking, if the defending figure is within 2 clear sight spaces of Boba Fett, you may reveal an 'X' Order Marker on this card and roll the 20-sided die. If you roll an 8 or higher, the defending figure rolls 2 fewer defense dice this turn. Huge figures are not affected by Fibercord Whip.

BOBA FETT'S GUILE
If Boba Fett is attacked, at least one skull is rolled, and Boba Fett receives no wounds from the attack, you may either move Boba Fett using his Stealth Jetpack special power or roll 1 unblockable attack die against the attacking figure.

STEALTH JETPACK
Instead of his normal move, Boba Fett may use his Stealth Jetpack. Stealth Jetpack has a move of 3. When counting spaces for Stealth Jetpack, ignore elevations. Boba Fett may jet over water without stopping, jet over figures without becoming engaged, and jet over obstacles such as ruins. Boba Fett may not jet more than 25 levels up or down in a single move. If Boba Fett is engaged when he starts to jet, he will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

Don't know how this ended up on page 5 but here's a :bump:

Really like how Boba Fett finished. Well rounded. He can Stand his own against squads and take out a good hero along the way.

So he can Counterattack Deadeye Dan from 10 spaces away or shot back at Tul-Bak-Ra through a wall?

Because I created the thread by copying mac's first two posts from the Boba Fett Design Thread.

Yes. With the weapons that Boba Fett has at his disposal, we decided that he could do all of those things.

Definitely the jack-of-all-trades Bounty Hunter, but you're paying full price for it. Definitely well suited for a guns a-blazin' approach.

I'm a bit confused about the timing of Fibercord Whip, though. I assume it's before rolling attack dice but after targeting a figure? "Before attacking" implies to me before the attack step (as in, "After moving and before attacking...").

Correct. In hindsight, it probably would have been clearer to say something like, "after targeting a figure, but before rolling attack dice."

looks good to me, better get to making a proxy. I don't like that this mini is so expensive.

If you're good at painting and trimming, the Mandalorian Gunslinger is a good proxy. It's helmet looks the closest of the mandalorian miniatures and the pose is pretty good. It is a female miniature though, so it's a tiny bit smaller than it probably should be. It also has braids and other anatomical details that should probably be trimmed. I'll try to get a good picture of it to post here while I'm on break.

Stealth Jetpack? Wasn't Boba Fett taken out by a leaving engagement attack from Han in ROTJ?

No. That was...

Han Solo (post-carbonite) said:
"BOBA FETT, WHERE?" SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 1. Attack 4.
The defending figure may not roll defense dice when defending against "Boba Fett, Where?" Special Attack. Add 2 automatic skulls to whatever is rolled if the defending figure has the Jetpack or Stealth Jetpack special power.

Yeah, it was a "Three Stooges" type move by Han that took out Fett. Neither of them were fighting the other.

Luke must have been standing on a glyph.
GLYPH OF NYUK NYUK NYUK
While standing on this glyph, if a figure you control is targeted for an attack by an opponent's figure, you may immediately move 1 other figure you control adjacent to the attacking figure, rotate it, and throw the attacking figure across the board. If the attacking figure does not land upright, remove it from the game.

I used a mandalorian marauder for the base, just cause I had a broken one laying around. To get an accurate detailing for the sculpt and paint I just used a Boba fett action figure for reference.

Thanks mac, and thanks for kicking out all the cool HOSS cards so I can feed my addiction.:D

Hi. Thanks for the awesome custom cards. I've been following HOSS and printing off cards as they are released. I am having some trouble with these new ones however and was wondering if someone with more technical knowledge/savvy could possibly help me out. When I print these cards the text is very fuzzy. Most I can read, but Boba Fett's is almost impossible. I checked my printer out and can't find anything wrong with it. I also printed off some Marvel customs at the same time and they are printing fine. Any ideas what my issue might be? Thanks guys.

Which file are you trying to print? Individual, Bounty Hunters set, or X-2?

Anyone else having the same issue?

Finally got to throw down a game with this guy, It was very fun. I think I killed upwards of 800 pts worth of guys with the fett alone in a 3 player free for all with my two brothers. We only had 500 point armies. Boba fetts guile got me at least 5 kills on squad figures, and I wounded 4 heroes as well with it. The stealth jetpack came in very useful, and I nailed the fibercord whip ability all but one time. I had my bounty on taelord. My one brother had a bunch of minions, runa, and taelord. wish I got to play with Dengar, but runa's mitonsol got him. Overall Boba Fett is a fun, and well themed character, totally worth sculpting him for the card. Now I just have to convince my brothers he is not a rip off.;)

Sounds like Fett was on a tear! Sometimes he just hits like that.

Most of the time, Fett will tear apart squad-heavy armies. You need a stronger hero or at least squads that pack a punch to take him down. Regular squaddies like Stormtroopers can whittle away at him, but you have to have a bunch of them or a way to bring destroyed ones back, like the Imperial Officer.
