The C3G Book of Frost Giant

Thanks guys. That kind of stinks though. I though I had found a reasonably priced option.

Do you mean the larger figures from Hasbro(?) or a Heroclix figure?

I have a few of the larger figures and they are a bit bigger but are pretty sweet.

This one?

Those are a bit pricier for an Uncommon figure than I'd like to spend. I was hoping that the Heroclix version would be about the size of Giant-Man/Atlas. Sentinel Sized would be too big.

There are a bunch of D&D and Pathfinder Frost Giant minis out there that can work as good proxies. Some of them are more expensive than others, but if you look around you may find some that fit your price range.

*Scratch that, I just took a look at T&T and all the options I was thinking of are pretty pricey right now.

yeah that's what led me to my current questions...pricey.

I can send you one japes, maybe two.
Not sure how many I have but I know I still have at least one unopened.

Proofreading: PDF and SP have different language in “Freezing Touch” about placing the Ice Rock. Which is correct?

No idea. Looks like SirG edited the SP last. What's the wording difference?

Hmm, looks like the SP added placement possibility clarification. Not sure if that's consistent with other such powers we have or not, though.

Remembering we didn't start writing in the SP for quite a few years after we started & that Sir G went back & added all the write-ups to the second posts from a version of the index spreadsheet that wasn't up to date.

So I'm just saying, that just because it was a Sir G update doesn't necessarily mean it was because it was a wording/grammar update. Some SP updates (especially for our earlier cards) were just to conform to the later practice of putting the power in the SP.

Yeah. We can either assume folks know that they can only place the terrain if it fits, or we could use the precedent of other powers that have come since and try to fit an "if possible" in there. For now, I'd say the card is more accurate than the SP, as I don't think the language in the SP is something we've used going forward.

I would say SP is correct, Fire Demons uses pretty much the same wording. I also think the wording in the SP is better.
You would say that, you wrote it...

I saw this a while back, but forgot to mention it:
FREEZING TOUCH 14
Start the game with one Ice Rock Destructible Object on this card. Instead of attacking, if the Ice Rock is on this card, you may choose one adjacent small or medium enemy figure that is not an Etin. Roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 14 or higher, switch the chosen figure with the Ice Rock on this card if the Ice Rock fits normally onto that space. The chosen figure will not take any leaving engagement attacks.
'cause right now, you could place it by a Battlement, on a Water tile, on a ladder rung, ect., where it doesn't fit.

For pasting:

It looks like this change was ok'd but never updated.

I'm cool with the change being made. Looks like I was back then when I had the capability of thinking harder about such things.

16 September 2019 - Frost Giant - Freezing Touch updated

An additional source for the same figure is a D&D mini from the Giants of Legend set named #48 / Frost Giant.
