I like this guy but is he an official release yet? Just kinda popped up here.

He was approved by the SOV, which is a part of VC (Valhalla Customs). He's official for Heroscapers, he's not a HeroScape release.

-NS, hoping that helps

I'm looking forward to trying him with the Horned Skull Brutes.

My Urk is also in the mail.:) Maybe get him today. Cutters would be fun to run instead of Deathreavers. The two are both annoying to fight. That looks like a fun build. I'd probably run cutters instead just because they also have synergy as well. It'd be more flexible with OM placement while Urk is alive. I have two set ups that I may run. They are both just fun to think about, not really a shoo in for the win though.

That looks like an *awesome* build. HSBs + Rats are great, and Urk brings some nice things to the mix.

Well, after playing that army, I discovered that 4X rats is too much chaff. Even with 16 rats, range was still able to occasionally sneak in and kill a Brute. And when the Brutes go down, this army really feels it.

I did really like playing Urk, though. I tended to use him early in the game to get my HSBs onto road tiles in hordes. After that, I would use him as a clean up character. Except for the time I was facing Tor-Kul-Na and he was my only non-insta stampable character! He got pretty brave then.

@Ninja Status - add to Synergy Benefits Received
MORGOLOTH: Swarming Vermin
Friendly small figures who follow Utgar or Valkrill are never attacked when leaving engagement with a figure within 5 clear sight spaces of Morgoloth.

Core Goblin army:
Urk - 65 =
Horned Skull Brutes x 3 - 225
Goblin Cutters x 2 - 100
= 295 (18 spaces)
Then add based on point value & spaces of what you are playing to:
Morgoloth - 140
Hydra/Nakita Agents/Realin 2 - 120
Krav Maga Agents - 100
Raelin - 80
+1 Horned Skull Brutes - 75
+1 Goblin Cutters - 50

Done, nice catch

Does Goblin Sneak Attack work universally, for all your figures, or only when Urk attacks?

Does Goblin Sneak Attack work universally, for all your figures, or only when Urk attacks?
I would say when urk, or other Goblins attack, but it doesn't specify too well. The Power is "Goblin" Sneak Attack. Maybe someone who designed it could clarify better.

I think the answer is here in the synergy:
GOBLIN CUTTERS: Goblin Sneak Attack
Adjacent Goblin Cutter figures can benefit Urk due to his Goblin Sneak Attack special power.
HORNED SKULL BRUTES: Goblin Sneak Attack
Adjacent Horned Skull Brute figures can benefit Urk due to his Goblin Sneak Attack special power.

If the synergy specifically says it benefits Urk then I would assume it means that only Urk can use Goblin sneak attack.

Interesting question, because the card is silent on whom is the one attacking. But it's Urk, and just Urk. Always been Urk.

Although this is resolved, since it's on the second page, it would be beneficial to add this to the Rulings and Clarifications.

He's *Heroic* Rabble

Am I the only one who noticed that the Horned Skull Brutes can use Urk as a Small Goblin sacrifice for Expendable Rabble?

from the Horned Skull Brutes
If a Horned Skull Brute you control is attacked with a normal attack and receives 1 or more wounds, you may destroy a small Goblin you control that is adjacent to that Horned Skull Brute to ignore any wounds that Horned Skull Brute just received.

This could be useful if Urk is down to 1 life or negated or something that would make actually using him too risky.

Bugbear: "Eat that sword little man hehehe."
Urk: "You moron! I'm your leader!"
Bugbear: "Not anymore hehehe."

I did this a bunch in my playtesting. It actually endeared me to the unit, as it reduced the cognitive dissidence of a tiny goblin bossing around the bugbears, since eventually they would get sick of him and use him as a shield.

Sorry everyone, college has been kicking my butt lately. I doubt I'm going to be on much anymore for the next few years.

Thanks for taking care of the OP duties, @Dad_Scaper

Goblin Sneak Attack definitely only applies to Urk. Unless a power states it extends to other units, it does not.

While most such powers do state who gets the bonus, there is precedent for powers such as Blastatron's Homing Device which do not.
