The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Age of Ultron set.
Its model number and name are #038 / Presence.​

_________________________________________________________________

Character Bio - Sergei Krylov was a nuclear physicist, also known for being the father of superheroes Darkstar and Vanguard. Krylov created much destruction with his experiments, and eventually coerced Tania Belinskya, the Red Guardian to assist him with one more project. He transforms himself into a nuclear powered being, and calls himself The Presence. Gaining tremendous power but also losing his grip on reality, he mentally dominates Belinskya to be his companion and lover. She eventually breaks free, but they both realize they actually did love one another, so she returns to his side. Krylov faces off against the Winter Guard and the Avengers, but also is deeply loyal to his country, trying to save it from nuclear wastes. Kang at one point manipulates The Presence in a campaign against the Avengers, and Kang transforms many citizens of the Soviet Union, the Winter Guard, and many of the Avengers into radioactive zombie-like beings under his control. But Belinskya is able to revert them back to their original state, and negotiated a surrender of both herself and The Presence.

  • The Radioactive Markers may not be removed by abilities such as Healing Factor as they cannot be removed like wound markers, but they can be removed by figures that can remove any type of marker, such as Zatanna and her RETLA ETATS 15 special power.

NUCLEAR TRANSMOGRIFICATION
At the start of the game, you may choose up to 6 other Unique Heroes you control and place a green Radioactive Marker on each of their cards. Radioactive Markers count as Wound Markers but may not be removed like Wound Markers. Figures with one or more Radioactive Markers on their card gain the Radiation Leak special power.

RADIOACTIVE DOMINANCE
After revealing an Order Marker on this card and instead of taking a turn with The Presence, you may choose up to 6 figures with the Radiation Leak special power and move them up to 3 spaces each. Then you may choose one card you control with the Radiation Leak special power with no figures that have moved this turn and take a turn with the chosen card. You may not take additional turns.

RADIATION LEAK
Whenever The Presence receives any wounds, before placing Wound Markers, roll an unblockable attack die against any figure within X spaces, where X equals the number of wounds received. Destructible objects and figures with this special power or the Environmental Suit special power are not affected.

I also was trying to remember who was in the group earlier and thought LP, Spidey and Ozirus but could not remember the fourth. :)

BTW, the Texas Crew was so inspired by this guy that we started brainstorming The Winter Guard on the way home. We will post them up somewhere when we have it ready for looksies, to many holes at the moment.

Acid Blood on steroids (Radiation Leak) is a sweet power.

Suppose there's no chance the first power could make people Gamma Mutates, huh? :p (Leader screams out in the night for help).

Assuming you want the following here?

Looks good overall. :up: Don't know this guy at all, but seems fun.

Gamma Mutate was discussed but I believe the ties to Hulk stuff was not strong enough but do not quote me on that.

We actually talked about the gamma thing. It just never says anything about them being gamma powered, and there’s no reason he should be a hulk/gamma synergy piece, so we decided against it. Since he’s SO open with his synergy, he effectively allows literally anyone to be in the gamma hub then.

That said using the special power as a synergy tag lets us make more synergy pieces with him that won’t have the wound to start with, and I had the though of a squad of radioactive zombies that would work with him (might need to change his wording to allow for that though), and we could always make something like that a gamma mutate squad.

No, its a good thought, one that we brought up several times, but it was ultimately a want and not really warranted. That said, I think if someone could provide proof otherwise, I feel the Brainstormers would be on board pretty quickly.

I'd probably just do:

You could also always just do the Bat-Fam Batman thing and stop the figures who moved with the “zombie movement” from moving again. That slightly changes how it works but accomplishes a similar effect I’d think.
