The Book of the Incredible Hulk

Wow, I am gonna have to try that idea. I could see that being fun with a future C3G Hulk as well.

You could use the different colored Hulks I just put up in my custom thread. :)

I plan on doing a scenario like this at some point. It just seems like way too much fun. But I will have to use Knock Back, some Destructible Objects, and some Throwing rules. Of course I will have to wait for some of that to be developed/released, but I still look forward to it.

I still believe that Hulk is the crowning achievement of the design team that worked on the Marvel set. Hulk is really perfect. I am the LD for C3G's future Hulk and I have some cool ideas, but this guy will always be a classic and must have.

Or the Clix Hulk, which is pretty cool. I agree that Hulk was the best thing in the Marvel Set. I just know C3G will one-up it. 8)

An official C3G scenario for that could be a blast.

That's more or less what we did. We had five usable Hulks (2 red, 1 gray, 1 original and one blue:shock:), and the color distinction made telling them apart a bunch easier.

yesterday, I was playing heroscape with the hulk vs some classic figures and he is way bigger than a medium. I think that perhaps there was a typo on his card at the factory, because he definately looks like a large

I guess I always assumed they made him a medium so that he wouldn't get all the immunities that large figures get. Then again, is he isn't bigger than the Venoc Warlord, and he's only Medium.

why should I, I beleive that the hulk should be a large. and you will definately not be the one that changes my mind

Because the designers did not want him to be large. They did not want any of the Marvel heroes to have Large/Huge immunities. You can house rule it all you like but the official rules are that he is medium because that is what he was meant to be.

This is exactly right. If you really feel the need, you could PM a member of the Rules Team™ and ask them, but I'd honestly be suprised if you even got a response.

this still does not explain why the master of the hunt is a large when they are both the same size

Uh...yeah it does. The MotH is not be seriously imbalanced with the large/huge immunities. Hulk would be. Possibly the best way to take Hulk down is with auto-wound/destroy abilities. If he was a large figure, he would be immune to those powers.

Regardless, both units were certainly priced with ANY POSSIBLE IMMUNITIES DUE TO SIZE in mind, so we should just not question the design team on this one. If you're still confused, you can, as Cav said, contact the Rules Team, but they'll probably give a similar response.

but the hulk is the same size as master of the hunt and he is a large 6, so either master of the hunt should be a medium or the hulk should be a large
You bring up a good point, but you have also been answered. I would like to see a pic of the two side by side though if you can. I don't have MotH.

BINGO. The easiest run I've ever had against the Hulk, I dealt him four wounds from my first OM on a Black Wyrmling army card. Also, I've seen him take substantial damage from the Deathstalkers' Maul, and other abilities such as Retiarius' Net Trip 14 or MeBurqSa's Paralyzing Stare would likely be a bit more valued if more uber-powered figs like Hulk were part of the standard meta.

Figures like Hulk, regardless of anyone's personal opinion in reference to aesthetics/scale, don't need any more immunity/buff than they've already got.

I've lost the Hulk to Grimnak a few too many times because of his size. That being said, I might in the minority who think that the Hulk would be better worth his points if he was designated as Large-- he (and the Abomination) have enough trouble as it is standing up against Squad-scape teams, since they have to engage the enemy to have any impact.

Of course, being large would also preclude the greenies from using ladders. :2cents:
That is a great point and one most people don't think of. Thanks for sharing. Of course he could just leap, but maybe he wants to walk off some of that built up steam.
