The Book of Tar Pit

Re: The Book of Tar Pit (final editing)

I'd just take a black brush to that area at 50% opacity and make it stand out a tad less.

Re: The Book of Tar Pit (final editing)

Still looked a bit odd. Darkening it just made it look like a brown line. So I just went with the standard black on that panel. Updated.

Re: The Book of Tar Pit (vote for On Deck)

That’s a good looking mini card.

Yea

With YK on Abstain this passes. #1012

I would suggest either lightening the mini background or finding a lighter background. As printed out that card will look like a dark mess.

Looking back at little things I'd change on my designs, what are people's thoughts on removing the non-adjacent requirement from Tar Pit's special attack? There were a couple public testers who found that odd when we sent out Weather Wizard.

FLAMING TAR THROW SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 3. Attack 4.
Choose a non-adjacent figure to attack. If the chosen figure does not have the Lava Resistant special power, you may count one blank rolled as an additional hit.

It'd be a slight power boost, but I don't think it'd be so strong as to affect Tar Pit's cost any.

I thought the interplay between ranged threat or lockdown figure with stuck was one of the interesting dynamics of the card. I don't think it'd overpower him or the faction any if you cut it, but I don't mind it staying.

Yeah it definitely affected my strategies when I played him, but he'd also play just fine without it.
