The Book of Super-Ape (Peotor)

Re: The Book of Super-Ape (Peotor): VOTE for Final Editing!

YEA though we will have to keep an eye on him and use him in testing before he's released.

At 170, he's 10 points cheaper than Jean Grey and she often gets her value or more at 180. Sure he can't inflict damage with his throwing power and it's range is 1 less than JG's Tele12, but it's also a lot easier to hit with a roll of 9 instead of 12.

Also, His Gravitational Grasp 12 is better than JG's PG12 as he can stop figures from attacking with their normal attack and she can only stop them from being moved.

He's also got 1 better move and 1 better range for his normal attack.

I'm just saying that he's not a unit that should be forgotten about until release, he will need to be played.

Re: The Book of Super-Ape (Peotor): VOTE for Final Editing!

He'll be tested again with Red Ghost so well see how he does then.

BTW just need SirG here.

Cards added to the OP since I got a moment.

Still just need SirG here when he gets a chance.

Re: The Book of Super-Ape (Peotor): VOTE for Final Editing!

Peotor looks like he is levitating. :)

Move him down a fraction & enlarge the background a bit & move it up.

Re: The Book of Super-Ape (Peotor): Final Editing!

This passes to Final Editing on Time

Cards updated.

I propose we move Peotor to On Deck.

Yea

EPB

No issues, and nice combo inspiration from Magneto I and Graviton.

I wonder how many people will be confused by the swap between Mikhlo and Peotor in the figures used? Anyone reading this post-release: It's by design! See page 2 of this thread, where tcglkn explains the reason for the switch.

EPB

Just to confirm intent, but figures tossed with Magnetic Toss 9 won't take falling damage. Still nasty if you have lava nearby or need to take someone off a key position.

So if a figure uses a power that states "intead of moving normally" and uses the word "placement" does that still count as a move and trigger his gravitational grasp?

I would need to know the whole power to be sure, but I'm pretty sure that placement powers are identical to movement powers for this purpose though.

The whole power states:
Any time an opponent would begin the movement of this Super-Ape or a figure within 4 clear sight spaces of this Super-Ape, you may first roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 12 or higher, the figure may not be moved and may not attack with a normal attack this turn.

I think it is the exact same as Jean Grey's
