The Book of Robin ('66)

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - final editing

Sure and that’s where the issue is for me. You’re taking a whole turn conditional on something that you can’t figure out till later.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - final editing

I think “if possible” patches this up? Would still be able to attack if he gets Stuck or whatever, but that feels ok to me.

Gonna go ahead and update the SP with what you had tickle.

“HOLY SMOKES, BATMAN!”
After revealing an Order Marker on the card of Unique Crime Fighter Hero you control and taking a turn with that Hero, if Robin is within 6 clear sight spaces of that Crime Fighter, you may take an immediate turn with Robin. During this turn Robin must end his move adjacent to the activated Hero if possible, and can only attack if the Crime Fighter you took a turn with had the Valiant personality. You may not take any additional turns.

Could just say, "... you may take an immediate turn with Robin. During this turn, Robin can only attack if he ends his move adjacent to a Valiant Crime Fighter you control. ..."

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - final editing

Sure, that works with me. I’ll update the sp with that, thanks dude

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - final editing

That gets around any question of what you do if he can't move which I think is just better to avoid in general.

That seems like a more significant change to the mechanics here. Previously you had to have taken a turn with the Valiant Crime Fighter in order to attack. Now you could activate Robin off of other Crime Fighters and still attack so long as you're adjacent to the Valiant Crime Fighter.

I think something like this would be closer to what was tested:

“HOLY SMOKES, BATMAN!”
After revealing an Order Marker on the card of a Unique Crime Fighter Hero you control and taking a turn with that Hero, if Robin is within 6 clear sight spaces of that Crime Fighter, you may take an immediate turn with Robin. During this turn Robin can only attack if the Crime Fighter you took a turn with has the Valiant personality. You may not take any additional turns.

Yeah, he no longer has to be adjacent to that Crime Fighter for the attack, but I think that's less of a change than making it so he has to be adjacent but he can attack during a Luke Cage activation or something.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - final editing

Mm, yeah I see what you’re saying Bats. The wording you’ve got works with me too. They’re both a bit different from the original, but not enough that I really care too much which one we go with.

Gonna be busy for most of today, but I’ll update the sp with Bats wording sometime if no one has a problem with it. Thanks again for the help guys!

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - final editing

Sounds good. Ultimately either is a change but not sure the power needs to be as restricted as it is right now, so that seems OK.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - final editing

I’d rather leave the word bubble on the card like we did with Batman.

Talking about on the mini pic? The ones Bats sent me didn't have the bubble. If someone else has pics with the bubble I'm down to swap them out, no big deal. I'll ask on discord, see if anyone else has the mini.

Cards look great Dr. J!

I can post pictures. Missed that the bubble was missing. Definitely feel like we need it here since the Batman card has it.

Sounds good, didn't know you had the mini. I'll ping Dr. J when they get posted.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - Vote for On Deck

Yea but ya gotta update what set the figure is from and figure number.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - Vote for On Deck

We don't generally do out of universe references in bios, so I'd drop the reference to the '66 TV show (see Batman '66). Otherwise Yea

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - Vote for On Deck

Updated the set, I did Atomic Skull the other day and this guy slipped my mind

Removed the TV show reference from the bio.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - Vote for On Deck

I believe LV is on Abstain for the time being, so I think you're good here Fresh.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - Vote for On Deck

Ah ok, thanks for letting me know J. In that case this passes!

Pre-release:

1. Should Robin and Batman ‘66 both have the CO symbol? Page 1 and 2 discussion.
2. The card says Medium 5, SP says Medium 4. Which is correct?
