General Thoughts on the Tested Unit : I had fun with him, particularly in the endgame of game 3. ‘Sock!’ never activated, but it’s just a little reliability insurance for his mediocre attack of 3. ‘Holy Smokes, Batman!’ is fun, letting you get the duo into melee fairly easily. They're both squishy, but taking Smoke Pellets helps out.

He’s maybe a touch weak, but I honestly don’t think it’s a huge deal. You’ll mostly be bringing him and Batman ‘66 so that you can have 4 utility glyphs for 200 points.

Just wanted to post my first test for posterity. They felt a bit outmatched, but the Cops and some lucky dice rolls let them stick around long enough to be close.

I'll try to run two with the updated version.

Shoot, forgot to grab the previous version to put in version tested.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - public playtest

Here’s the previous version :

“HOLY SMOKES, BATMAN!”
After taking a turn with a figure you control named Batman, if that Batman is within 6 clear sight spaces of Robin and is engaged, you may place Robin on an empty space adjacent to that Batman and at least one enemy figure. Then, if that Batman is a Valiant Crime Fighter, you may attack with Robin. Figures moved by this special power will not take leaving engagement attacks.

UNIT SUMMARY: Ace probably has stronger stacks, so not worried about that one here. The Batman/Robin duo feels fine, but definitely not very powerful without any stat boosters of any sort or any defensive powers to keep them around.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - public playtest

Thanks Bats! I’m not expecting this Robin to be anything too special competitively honestly , since Batman ‘66 isn’t great. Gonna keep him at 60 for the time being, the new HSB should help.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - public playtest

Yeah, I agree with that. I'm honestly fine with him not being particularly competitive. It'd be a bit odd if he outshone Batman '66 in that regard. I do eventually want to do a Batmobile '66 which could help them out.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - public playtest

What with this design having Utility Belt and all, feels like a missed opportunity not to run an African Death Bee Antidote Pill Utility Glyph.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - public playtest

Would a Food Utility Glyph be possible? It would I just don’t know if there are any thematic ones available. This design would fit into April Fools then.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - public playtest

Eh, I feel like this one is pretty much a lock for the anniversary wave unless we just end up with two many LDs for that one somehow.

Re: The Book of Robin ('66) - public playtest

What we really need here is another playtester. :p
