Character Bio - The 23rd Century Earth is short on meat. So, defying the laws of causality with its’ time paradoxes and causing headaches and topics for nerdy drunken pub debates for years to come, the Trans Time Corporation head back millions of years in the past to search for new sources of meat. Setting up bases across the era, Trans Time’s cowboys raise, herd, slaughter and process dinosaurs and send the end product back to the future.
Earl Reagan and his crew herd hundreds of gigantic lumbering herbivores across the plains and is attacked by a pack of tyrannosaurs. Successfully driving them off, Reagan stabs the leader and old female in the eye with an electric goad, leaving her partially blinded and giving her name “Old One Eye”.
Old One Eye left for dead, enraged and out for revenge, she gathers a predator army, wreaking havoc across the Cretaceous and eating everything in their path.
Old One Eye and her pack attack Base 1, reducing the hapless and overly confident employees of Trans Time to dino snacks. Trans Time have abandoned the base, leaving the remaining occupants to their fate.

Still in pursuit of Reagan, Old One Eye and her pack, made up of dinosaurs, pteradons and giant spiders, attack and destroy one of the largest human settlements of the Cretaceous, Carver City and follow Reagan to Trans Time Base 3.
In the final climactic battle, Reagan escapes the destroyed Base 1 to face the board of Trans Time. Old One Eye, mortally wounded and feeling the effects of her age, lumbers off to die.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Big Girl Breaths)

NAME = OLD ONE EYE
SECRET IDENTITY = DORIS

SPECIES = DINOSAUR
UNIQUENESS = EVENT HERO
CLASS = MATRIARCH
PERSONALITY = VENGEFUL

SIZE/HEIGHT = HUGE 15

LIFE = 13

MOVE = 6
RANGE = 1
ATTACK = 6
DEFENSE = 3

POINTS = 230

AN EYE FOR AN EYE
Start the game with one red Dino Eye marker. Once per game, after Old One Eye is wounded by an enemy figure you may place the Dino Eye marker on that figure's card. For the rest of the game, all Dinosaur and Pterosaur figures you control roll 1 additional die when attacking normally an adjacent figure with a Dino Eye marker on its card.

THUNDERING T-REXES
After revealing an Order Marker on this card and taking a turn with Old One Eye, you may move up to 10 Dinosaurs and Pterosaurs you control. Any figures moved this way must end their movement within 3 clear sight spaces of Old One Eye.

DINO DOMINANCE
Old One Eye rolls one additional die when attacking or defending against an adjacent Huge figure.

SUPER STRENGTH

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Big Girl Breaths)

Any reason why she can move Dinosaurs & Pterodons, but only Dinosaurs get the attack boost?

Edit - The only Pterodactyl we have so far is Beast Boy, and his species is Pterosaur.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Big Girl Breaths)

Mostly just bookkeeping stuff here! Do we know the specifics on which dinosaur figure is being used here?

I preferred Eye Marker to Hag Marker, but I suppose it does make more sense if she's already lost the eye. Maybe something like "Evil Eye Marker" that implies her giving you the evil eye or something?

I do think it makes sense to pick either just Dinosaurs for both or have both Dinosaurs and Pterasaurs for both.

And finally, I think the second power is huge and impactful enough that it should really have something a little more impressive than "pack leader." Like "LORD OF THE GREAT LIZARDS" or something hokey like that.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Big Girl Breaths)

Hmmm, I will put some thought into a power name.

I can add Pterosaurs to the attack bonus.

Using the same figures as Bob & Carol. It is a generic mold as best I can tell as I have found it made by three different companies. They do vary in weight and sometimes the paint is a little different.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Big Girl Breaths)

The 3 spaces requirement seems a little small considering they are mostly double based units. Or do you only need 1/2 of the double base to be within 3 spaces? If so then that seems manageable.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Big Girl Breaths)

Yep, just one foot. That is intentional to limit how many Dinos you can move.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Big Girl Breaths)

This is pretty cool! The only possible target for the King Rises is Satanus, correct?

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Vote for Initial)

Thanks!
Yes, that power is solely for Satanus.
I had sworn to ignore the existence of Satanus while building the Dino faction but this power came to me and I liked the theme (though this never directly happens in the comics, more of an overarching theme).
Originally I had a clause that made Satanus an Unique Hero, correcting my folly of making him an Event Hero but people did not care for that, they did however like the rest of the power, so I left it in.

For the marker, could we go with One Eye marker, or would that still be confusing if we did an Eye marker at some point?

I propose Initial Testing.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Vote for Initial)

No issue with a named marker. It'd obviously be attached to this card no matter if there's another marker of the same name, in my opinion. :shrug:

Yea

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Vote for Initial)

Cool. I actually found some more modern art for Old One Eye. Apparently she crossed paths with Dredd during some sort of time displacement in MC-1.
Calls her the biggest T-Rex he has ever seen and he fought Satanus in the Cursed Earth.

Also found out that in the 40th Anniversary issue of 2000AD written by Matt Smith that her real name is Doris. Aww, how sweet.

A couple more votes here would be cool.
A bit discouraging considering the activity.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Initial PT)

Never set a cost here. How did you let me get away with that? :)
Anyone got a calculator cost?

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Initial PT)

I came up with 510. 460 of that is base stats and SS, so I'm not valuing the powers that highly.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Initial PT)

:passout:
Oh crud, that is not good. That is about 300 over cost.
What does Life need to come down to get closer to 200-250?
Thanks!

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Initial PT)

7 Life puts the estimate at 225. 8 Life puts the estimate at 260.

That estimate is ridiculous, IMO. The calculator seems to be overvaluing the Life value. That Life'll get eaten up really quickly with that Defence value.

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Initial PT)

I tend to agree. I will try her in some HH tests firs to see if I can dial her in. Thanks!!

Re: The Book of Old One Eye (Initial PT)

Where exactly do you want her? I assumed you were aiming high too.
