Yeah. With 5 Skrulls and a lot of Invaders it was pretty easy to have then dropping in on the front lines. And the dice were very hot. I think I note it in the test, I know I got at least 1 8 skull roll in there.

Thanks, that's great to hear. Neither me nor Bats really had very good dice when using the SA so it's good to see the game impact where they were rolling a bit hot.

Yeah, once they started (Round 2 and Round 3 respectively I believe) it was firing about every round. Second game I went all in on 10 dice pretty consistently, but game one saw more of the 6/4 split.

I asked this question a bit prematurely though. Now I've read through all the details in his report and I have a better picture of what went down. Fan4 had some pretty poor luck in the first game, Reed went down by the end of R2 and then Johnny kept missing all his rolls after that. In the 2nd game, it wasn't so much bad luck by the Avengers but good luck by Megatron. Some good SA rolls in that one. An 8 skull attack that took out Cap, and a 5 skull attack that finished off a 3W Carol. I really liked seeing Megatron knock an OM off of Cap card in that one, but then Prime saves it. Feeling better about him at 410 now.

Just a FYI, I just added a little more of the conversation to the post above. I ran Megatron with the Invaders in my initial, no Skrull's though that was a nice touch, and felt okay about it. I would like to see one more set of tests though since we just tweaked the aura range for Cower. I can ask the next tester to use the Invaders in one of their games if others want to see more from that combo.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Megatron + Arthrians is not as strong as it seems in the early game because the whole army falls apart once Megatron dies. My idea with Zoom was to have him as a fast defensive hero to use the Hand Cannon with, which worked decently well despite two losses. Cower Before Megatron is a terrifying power because it can shut you down. I learned to spread order markers and keep the X handy so Megatron had a chance at removing that one. Winning initiative is pretty crucial for Cower Before Megatron.

I wouldn’t raise Megatron’s points based on my tests, but I wouldn’t lower them either. Megatron is a very powerful figure especially when he starts removing order markers. I wonder if more or fewer Arthrians might make a stronger army, and maybe even omitting Zoom or other heroes (despite losing Hand Cannon, that would give you more Arthrians to attack with).


GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Very thematic. I love the theme of Cower Before Megatron (I was having fun saying that in a Megatron voice when using the power), and Hand Cannon is a hilarious way to represent Megatron’s transformation. The stats felt suitably high. Megatron is a very popular figure and I think you nailed it.

Sweet, I like the steely grey boarder and the Decipticon emblem purplish blue combo! I think I technically have to wait 24 hours to see if anyone cast a hold or nay vote, but once that lapse's I'll call for the On Deck vote then.

I'm not sure that's a real thing. Are you sure there's a 24 hour waiting period after it goes into Final Editing? Usually we just wait until the cards are up and make sure there are no issues. :)

Yeah, you may be right. It's the On Deck vote where all the active heroes must vote on.
