WORTHY CHALLENGE
Marutuk rolls 2 additional dice when attacking a large or huge figure. If an opponent's large or huge figure is within 6 spaces of Marutuk, she may not attack a small or medium figure with a normal attack or a leaving engagement attack. Marutuk may not move normally out of engagement with an opponent's large or huge figure.

DISMISSIVE SWIPE
At any point while moving normally, if Marutuk is on a space where she may end her movement, Marutuk may choose an adjacent small or medium figure and roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 12 or higher, the chosen figure receives 1 wound. Marutuk may only use this power once per turn. If she does, she cannot attack a small or medium figure this turn.

LONG STRIDES
Marutuk can move through all small and medium figures.

The figure used for this unit is a D&D figure from the War of the Dragon Queen set. The name of the figure is Bluespawn Godslayer #26.

Hey @BodaciousBlood, I figured I'd answer your question about rebasing Marutuk over here where more people will see it:

Some copies of this sculpt are pretty bent over, which makes basing a pain. I'd recommend using a boil-and-bend method to get her sculpt as upright as possible before basing. (Plus this way you can try to make her sword less floppy!).

If that's not enough to get her to stay upright, I'd try weighting the base with some washers (even just gluing some under her feet on top of the base or something).

Not sure if it would help any. But when 3d printing the large peanut bases, you could oversize them by just a little if it would help with basing. If you did just a little bit it would easily still fit on a double hex. Its not really an issue with peanut bases being a hair taller and having to fit in a ladder rung. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Thanks! I’ll give these a go!

For those needing assistance in rebasing her, I successfully did it this morning on a large peanut base. I placed her towards the back of the base to help with balancing. Worked like a charm!

I feel like we should have a mega thread with re-basing best practices. You can see my contribution in the Quahon book.

I was thinking maybe just put rebasing guidance in the OP of each book, where appropriate.

If the sword is straightened you’ll have a bit of denial, but it’d only be one space. Plus, it easily works against him too ;)

The sword is quite slender. It doesn't take away any entire space. I'm struggling to imagine what figure would be unable to situate around it, other than maybe the new mounted Hrognak. That bad boy fills up every square millimeter of his 2 hexes.

The C3V Rules Team would like to add the following R&C2:
Q: If Marutuk is prevented from attacking because of Worthy Challenge, can she still use her Dismissive Swipe power?
A: Yes, Dismissive Swipe is not an attack.

Q: If Marutuk walks through a Fyorlag Spider that is in a 2-level deep hole, can that spider attempt a leaving engagement attack on Marutuk?
A: No. A figure is only engaged if it is adjacent to an enemy figure. Being on the same space does not count as adjacent. The spider was never adjacent to Marutuk because it is too short to engage Marutuk on the spaces outside the hole.

Q: If Marutuk walks from a same-level space onto a space occupied by a Fyorlag Spider, then walks onto a space 2 levels higher, can that Spider attempt a leaving engagement attack on Marutuk?
A: Yes. Marutuk is engaged with the Fyorlag Spider when her trailing space was on the same level and adjacent to the spider. When Marutuk steps onto the higher ground, the figures are no longer engaged, even though Marutuk's trailing space is on the same space as the spider.

Woaw, last Question from the R&C2 just blew my mind..!

I don't remember well... when a figure takes a leaving engagement attack, it has to stop its move or can it keep going ?
I guess you don't have to stop, otherwise I'd remember of a rule saying that you can leave an engagement only if you are on a space where you can stop your move... and I don't remember so.

No, it doesn't have to stop its movement. If that was true, you wouldn't be able to take leaving engagements against figures moving onto spaces where they can't end their movement, like a double-spacer climbing a hill.

Picked up this lady not too long ago and was thinking of trying to run her at 500 points with 3 squads of Mezzos and Rhogar as backup in case she gets into trouble. It's not a lot of figs but between exoskeletons and healing the big bad it may be fun. Thoughts?

Sounds like a good combo. Mezzos for squaddies and the Big Girl for special attackers and large bad guys. Let us know how it goes!
