The Book of Martian Manhunter (Justice League) (II)

Re: The Book of Martian Manhunter (III) (Public Testing)

And fwiw, here's the w/l breakdown:

@330 2-1
Close win.
Close loss.
Close-Medium win.

@340 2-3
Close loss.
Close loss.
Close loss.
Close win.
Close win.

I'll look into builds soon.

Re: The Book of Martian Manhunter (III) (Public Testing)

Looked over options, and 350 didn't seem to offer much of a difference rounded army point wise. If nobody is pushing for 350, may as well stick with 340.

I propose a vote to move to Final Editing.

Yea, cards look great. Love the comic art you used.

Re: The Book of Martian Manhunter (III) (Vote for On Deck)

Yea. Guess the cookie throne J'onn mini will just have to wait for MM IV.

I think that's a good go-to for Detective Martian Manhunter, since he's a bit zanier. :p

Yea

Yeah, art (comic and mini) both look great. Wording looks good too. :up:

The stretchy power feels like it needs some tlc wording wise, I’ll look it over more closely when I’m on a computer.

Yea

This passes. #1072

Fwiw, I did use pre-existing powers to word all the options and overall structure.

Re: The Book of Martian Manhunter (III)

card looks good. FTR I would have been fine here with him being Large. If someone has the ability to make themselves weight several tons without changing size then they fit the mechanics of being Large, Not being able to be tossed and carried. It also still has a downside of not allowing him to be carried and moved by friendlies. We need to not think about the size of the mini for every situation and think about what Medium vs Large ACTUALLY means in Heroscape terms and I think MM is an exception to the mini size rule. But I'm fine as is also.

Re: The Book of Martian Manhunter (III)

I personally don't like a normal sized mini being listed as Large, just cause it's not super apparent to the average player. He already has Density Control to represent him making himself weigh more.

For me;
Height = height of the mini (quantifiable number)
Size = size of the mini (a bit harder to quantify, but we've still been pretty consistent on it)

A few little things on review...

1. SP: nit picky- should there be parentheses around the III? Right now it reads like he is the son and grandson of Martian Manhunter Sr. and jr. :). Also, OP says MM (JL) (II), not III. Which is correct?

2. Is the size question resolved? Good to go with Medium?

III shouldn't be in the SP at all. And this is the second Justice League Manhunter hence the (Justice League) (II) in the thread title. We are trying to be more descriptive with vII+ threads so it's not just a long list of roman numerals you have to memorize.

For the record I am generally down to fudge it a bit on size and height for theme since we have minimal control over the figures and Large does provide some thematic immunities here like throwing powers.

Seemed we were split on size so I just left it. Should be size of character not the mini, but that’s not a unanimous feeling.

Density control should help avoid most throwing powers. And his Mayhem power should allow him to get himself out of Fantastic’s grasps. Blob is still an issue though.

Updated the wording on Density Control to reflect our clarification on Fortress Walls. If you have time to update before the release that'd be ideal, but I am planning to update all the SPs and only do the updates when they need another update since it's a minor wording thing. I just prefer to release things in their final form if possible :)
