Spoiler Alert!

Character Bio:
[Soulcore initialized. Power cells online. Environment scan complete. Organic lifeforms detected. Task: Verify with Isadora and apprehend Mariedians. Verification with Isadora unsuccessful. Updating Task: Exterminate Mariedians. Armament array initialized. Plasmatic cannon charging...]
“Wait,” cries the organic, with his hand raised. His metal is only an outer shell; a helmet and armor. “Major Q10, you are safe…”
[Searching memory bank. ZETTIDesignation:MajorQ10 not found.]
There is a second organic. Her skin is blue, and her eyes crimson. Her wings are clad in feathers and razors, and the spear she points at our chestplate hums with a deadly inner technology. The message is clear: stand down. Instead, our plasmatic cannon burns brighter.
“Does he not remember us?” says the man in the armor. “Do you not know me, friend?”
[ZETTIDesignation:Friend not found.]
“On their homeworld, they are melted down and reforged, reprogrammed. They forget the life that came before,” says the winged woman. “I told you there were no guarantees. He is remade. The eleventh design of his series.”
The man steps closer, despite the glow of the cannon.
“Major Q11, then,” he says. “I am named Sonlen. I am your friend. This is Queen Qhyrion; she is the one who reconstructed you. We are not your enemies. Please, lower your weapon.”
[Terminal processing error. Memory bank fragmented:Great Forge of Tarata: programming fault diagnosed:Fighting Pit Z13:Task:Exterminate Sergeant D-46:MERCY:I am Vydar, and I have brought you to Valhalla for a purpose:I was created to fight, and so I do:Shiori must drink or she will die:ENOUGH]
[Memory bank files corrupted. Purging memory bank.]
[Friend. ZETTIDesignation:Sonlen.]
Queen Qhyrion lowers her spear. “I have given you an arsenal. Cannons, rockets, a hammer designed by Vydar himself.”
“Use them to protect your friends,” says Sonlen. “Only harm your enemies.”
We speak. “Identify our enemy.”
“He is a Valkyrie named Utgar,” says Sonlen. “He is the greatest cause of our suffering.”
“Understood,” we say, and seize the hammer of war.
[Updating Task: Exterminate Utgar.]

Is it standard to list all Soulborg immunities (Werewolf Lord Lycanthropy, Marrden Hounds Marro Plague, Kee-Mo-Shi Toxic Skin) and weaknesses (Omnicron Repulsor abilities, Quasatch Hunters)?

The design kinda clashes with the old Majors, at least in my opinion. I still like his looks, but he doesn't mesh with the rest of the Vydar soulborgs.
Abilities sound great, and the new special is quite nasty. Shame he doesn't have range, but with 6 attack that would be overkill. Vydars Hammer makes me think he should cost the same as Q9, the auto wound is not that hard to get with 6 attack.
Seems I will have to buy another set from this wave, probably Sonlen.

That's the neat part.
You need to purchase something from the April wave to get Q11.
Sonlen is February, so Renegade says no robot for you.
The April figures are Vorids and the two Skordyne packs.

Nooooo, that is just cruel. My dreams are crushed, I didn't plan to get any of those... So maybe skordyre...
Damn, I only get allowed to buy one set per year, I wanted to get both Sonlen and Q11 in one fell swoop.

The Hellforge only costs $20 unpainted, that's the cheapest way you can get Q11

Has anyone read why this Unit is named Q11 and not Q10? 4 of the other SotM heroes are getting new versions of themselves and thus you cannot run a new version of Shiori with the SotM version. You can however run Q10 and Q11 in the same army or am I missing something?

Why are you thinking its the same dude? Q11 is not Q10 because he is a distinct character as far as I know.

I am not thinking Q11 is the same as Q10. Otherwise I would not be thinking that you can run both of them in the same army. I am asking if anyone knows why Sonlen, Shiori, Raelin & Drake all got a new version of themselves and Q10 did not.

It was somewhere in a bio.... Q10 IS Q9 and Q11 is Q10. Something about how Soulborgs work. Same soul, new machine? Is that how the Death walkers worked as well?

That means while Shiori, Drake, Sonlen und Raelin got older and evil, Q died again and came back as Q11 - his third HeroScape manifestation.

Hmm, well Q11's bio appears to not be up yet, we'll have to see. I don't see a mention of a Q10/Q9 relationship in Q10's entry on Heroscape wiki, but it does have a record of the early 2022 AoA concept art implying that Q11 is a rebuilt Q10, though it is also unknown if this will still be the case in the final version. Until then I don't think the question of "why didn't Q10 get a new version when the other MS2 characters did" doesn't really have an answer known to us yet.

The Haslab Q11 Lore (Which May Be Changed):

IIRC Q10 died protecting the old Shiori. He was reforged but came out as Q11 (same Soul; different Borg), without his memory, although he still likes Shiori. (Q9 is a separate character who has nothing to do with this transformation).

***

Clearly they will need to clarify who can be in the same army. I'd think Q10 and Q11 cannot. (According to the current name rules you can).

Tai-Pan above seems to think that "all of the SOTM heroes got old and evil." Only Raelin was treated this way.

Oliver Upshaw (hi Oliver; been a while!) above feels that you can't run the new Shiori with the old Q11. I'm not sure why. Is it for Lore time continuity?

***

Personally, I think what the way they are offering Q11 sucks. I don't want to buy anything from the April packs, but I'm getting Sonlen in February, who should have been the one to buy for Q11, as Chlorophyillic notes above. Or I should have been able to get Q11 as a Promo figure at a store event, as I've gotten the first three.

How will Promos be treated in the future now? Is this a permanent change? Will future promos still be available "three months after their promo event" as noted earlier; in this case the April offerings? Will they not be available painted, as was said a while ago (which also sucks).

As someone suggested before to a newbie elsewhere, if you are only buying some of the new AOA stuff, its better to concentrate in general on same faction figures who bond with each other. I'm concentrating myself on Pirates, Bears, Kyrie, and The SOTM Heroes--the latter to get that band back together (perhaps Raelin IV next year will be Good again)!

I recall reading something like this (and thought the idea was great). Although you are correct that there is no explicit link between Q9 and Q10, this kind of narrative for Q11 could imply that Q10 is also a new manifestation of Q9, making the Q-series of Soulborgs (possibly even all Soulborgs?) kind of like Nazgul - eternal souls taking on new forms as they are destroyed.

If you look at points, powers, and stats, Q9 is much stronger at 180. On the other hand, Q10 was slightly improved from 150 to his Q11 self at 160. And these point totals are borne out in the cards for the different incarnations.

I noticed this because I am about to play Q11 for the very first time on the table tomorrow, (both Christmas Eve and my birthday) in Renegade Free Online Scenario #4. Thanks to Nukatha I was able to print out the new card, although its not quite big enough as I got it. This new and now official version is different from both Anitar's and my own Unofficial cards, both of which had a Protect power as a second one, in line with his lore based devotion to Shiori. Too bad they didn't use it!

On Full Barrage (and similar special attacks), when are targets chosen? Is it target 1, target 2, target 3, attack 1, attack 2, attack 3? Or is it target 1, attack 1, target 2, attack 2, target 3, attack 3?

The second one.
Also, I just realized that the rules text is quite redundant and reminds you that he can't repeatedly target a single figure TWICE in the special attack description.

That was my thought, but I figured I should check before it comes up.
I was about to feel embarrassed that I didn't notice the repetition, but then I realized that nobody else called it out until now.

It's interesting that his right arm gun is not a hit zone, which goes against the precedent of the other majors.
