The figure used for this unit is an AT-43 figure from the Karmans set.
The name of the figure is Mentor Freezer Hero Box.


Character Bio: (by superfrog)

It is the 4th year since the Primadon uprising.

But the abandoned streets and smoking rubble of their once-modern city bear witness to the present reality. The Marro are once again overlords.

A swarm of Drones comb the ruins, destroying any remnant signs of life. They approach a small building with a beaten-in door, and the Drone leader motions his troops forward.

A flurry of motion inside brings the Marro to sudden attention. But not sudden enough. Kursus is among them, raining blows on the unsuspecting invaders.

There are surely too many Drones for Kursus to take on single-handedly. Still, Kursus leaps here and there, unrelenting even as his enemies wear down his defense.

Kursus is bound for death, for glory, for Valhalla.

BOUND

If Kursus is engaged when he starts to bound, he will receive any leaving engagement attacks.

A: Yes, Kursus can land on the space the Fortress Door occupied.


Q: If Kursus attempts his Sonic Fists Special Attack while he is affected by the glyph of Proftaka, what happens?
A: Kursus is destroyed after the attack. He may use the attack, but he cannot be placed, so he is destroyed.

Q: If Kursus destroys a Unique Human figure that has an Ebon Armor on its card with Sonic Fists Special Attack, can Kursus be placed on that space before the Ebon armor replaces the figure?
A: No.
Kursus is not placed until after his attack action is complete. The Ebon Armor may be placed first.

Q: If a figure is destroyed in the process of Sonic Fists Special Attack, but by a different power or effect (e.g. a Divider divides, but the new Divider is killed by Engagement Strike), does that destroyed figure count as "one of the destroyed figures" for the purpose of placing Kursus?
A: No
, "the destroyed figures" refers only to figures destroyed by Kursus's Sonic Fists Special Attack.

I'm pretty sure this guy can bond with the Command Courier (which would be awesome)!

It is definitely great to see Vydar getting some Primadon love. Great work C3V!
 
My favorite synergy Kursus has is with Marcus; six move makes him a formidable midgame suicide force. He also costs 55 points, so he can bring your Roman build back to even numbers if your point total ends in 5.

Of course, this is all provided you roll hot on Sonic Fists. The first time I gave him a run, I whiffed on all five dice on my first roll, and it was all over for the primadon.
 
I'm liking the soldierness for another reason. Having 2 low cost soldiers in him and Varan is great.
 
If anyone is willing to gather all the info for Synergies and format it correctly, it would be much appreciated. :)

MegaSilver, too tired to concentrate on finding it right now. Maybe tomorrow he will have the focus. Physics homework does that to you. XD

Kursus is a fun filler unit. He usually falls quickly, but when he gets a good sonic fists, watch out! Kursus is a really great hero in a Command Courier build.

As Necroblade at pointed out to me, he's also good to set up in one place, and just keep that X OM on him to keep your opponent from bunching up within his threat range, or waste time trying to take him out...
 
Two questions 1) can Kursus be affected by his own special attack? (I'm guessing no) and more importantly 2) if I target someone next to me and there's someone on the other side of my target will I take leaving engagement attacks when I jump to his hex?
 
1. Since he must choose a non-adjacent figure, there would be no way for him to be affected by his own Sonic Fists SA.

2. You'd have to be unengaged to use the special attack, so leaving engagement attacks do not come into play.

If you are looking to rebase Kursus onto a Heroscape base, then here is a recommendation for how to do it:

1. Do not cut the stub off on the base of his hand. Without that stub there is very little to super glue to the new base.

2. Drill a hole in a Heroscape base (I used a yodajunkie Deathwalker size base). I used a Dewalt 7/64th drill bit.

3. Put a little super glue on the Kursus' stub and you should be able to just twist him into the drilled hole like putting a screw in by hand.

4. Use Kursus' base for your newly purchased Augamo ;)

I prefer to read it when I go straight to the Book.

But now I see that it's Firefox thing, and not the card. So I'm all good.

too bad the Nakita Agents don't have Primadon movement bonding. (instead of G-Nator) That would make them a solid usage with Kursus.

It just seems too bad that Kursus doesn't have any direct synergy with Nakitas

Wondering if the design team looked into some kind of nakita/g-nator synergy during the design and what turned them away if so?

This design? No, there wasn't any as far I as I could recall.

Nakita's naming only a specific unit of Primadons makes it to where they only work with them...
 
For 55 points, Kursus is fairly effective as a filler hero without any direct synergy with Nakitas, et al. There are definitely games where I think leading out with him is the way to go.

Maybe C$$ will do that tonight!
 
I've never played with him, but the couple of times I've played against him or seen him played, he was usually used as a suiciding Kursus Bomb in Round 1 on the start zone. None of those times was he able to kill his points. He was always swarmed afterwards and killed.

I definitely think that can be very effective against some unique squads, but the time it takes to get Kursus to another person's startzone and without a bonding unit leads me to believe that isn't the best use for him in general. (which is why I though some kind of ability to move on someone else's turn like the G-Nators would be super useful)

I think he would be better used as a bounding hero in the mid-late game stages and only using his normal attack, unless a really juicy opportunity presents itself or a 1 life suicide strike for the extra attack makes sense.
