Character Bio - Fisk first began his career as a criminal when he was a child. He was sick of being bullied, so he trained himself to fight and then with his bare hands, he bested his childhood bullies and forced them to join his gang. Later, Fisk became a bodyguad of NY's most notorious gangster, Don Rigoletto. Fisk eventually killed his mentor and assumed control of the gang. Soon after that, Fisk began taking control of all other gangs and killing anyone who stood in his way, until he finally became the Kingpin of Crime.

I think this guy looks better and just like your art pic there. I know no place lists him as having SS, but I don't understand how he could crush Spider-man in a Bear Hug without it, since Spidey DOES have SS. Not really suggesting it, just making public an observation that has always bothered me.
No purple pants or cigar..... nah, I'll pass on that one. I have them both and the purple pants one looks best IMO.

I am OK with SS if everyone else is. I have seen him go toe to toe with Spidey in a melee fight many times, and Spidey always has a hard time hitting him.

Lets go down the check list though:
- Can he lift about a thousand pounds? Probably
- Can he survive a fall from a tall building? I don't know
- Can he bust down a door or wall? Yes
- Can he throw a C3G DO up to the size of a car? I would say no, but people say that Spidey can do that, perhaps I don't know.

Spidey, can you answer these as best you can and we will be able to make an educated decision?

- Can he lift about a thousand pounds?
- Can he survive a fall from a tall building?
- Can he bust down a door or wall?
- Can he throw a C3G DO up to the size of a car?

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

OH, and can he survive Hot Lava death? No

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

I think he is definitely near Super Strength level, but not quite there.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

- Can he lift about a thousand pounds? IMO, yes. But that is his upper limit or close to it.
- Can he survive a fall from a tall building? How tall? Skyscraper? No. Walk away from a fall off an apartment complex? Yes.
- Can he bust down a door or wall? Hell yes!
- Can he throw a C3G DO up to the size of a car? I think over his head is out of the question, however lift it off of someone? I say yes.

I know no purple pants is a travesty, however the mini you suggested is uglier and smaller, IMO. Just my :2cents:

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

OK, sounds like to me then that the SS is a no go, and the white suited baby with the babyblue trim is out. :p

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

Yeah, he definately fits into that small niche I like to call Enhanced Strength. Too bad Heroscape doesn't account for it. Maybe his stats should be bumped up a tad just to represent his being borderline SS, since he can't really have it.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

I would be OK with his Attack or Defense going to 6, but not both.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

Probably his defense would be better suited for the bump to 6.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

Huh... Not the King Pin I was expecting...

;)

Is the mini only medium 5? In the comics he always seems so huge...

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

Unless you plan to use the power elsewhere, how about renaming to KINGPIN OF CRIME ?

I don´t think he should have SS either, but should be resilient and pack quite a whallop! Attack 5 and defense 6 sounds right to me...

I thought of that too, but I realized that the Title, Class, and special power having "Kingpin" in it may be a bit too much. :reapershrug:

Ummmm..... are you designing now? :p

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

I like this design. In fact, it's very similar to my personal custom of him. :)

The only suggestion is, do we think we'll have ever have figures that are Mercenaries? If we think we might, it should be included in his bonding.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

Isn't Deathstroke a Merc? I am fine without him bonding with Mercs, it isn't iconically necessary, besides, I plan on creating a Ninja at some point that can change other people's class to Assassin. 8)

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

Does anyone else feel it is necessary to add to the list?

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

Hmmm, I wasn't necessarily thinking of people like Deathsroke. I was thinking more along the lines of a common squad of mercenaries or something. So if we did add it to the list, I'd only be in favor of doing it for squads, not heroes.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

I think three is the magic number here to keep the design from feeling too overwhelming.
I like the first post.
I'm with Spidey though that the less iconic white suit mini is a better choice. I like the purple pants too, but that mini is just too darn small.

Poll time.

Do you prefer we use:

A:

or

B:

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

I vote A. That is the iconic look, and I have both minis and he is the best looking one IMO.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

A. The face on B doesn't even look the Kingpin.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

I vote B
I have both minis and the second one is the only one of decent scale at all for the character. The size on A doesn't look anything like the character.

Re: Designing - The Book of Kingpin

A. Iconic look.

I also like the first post. Simple and to the point. He's beefier than Kato, but he can't get a turn moving/attacking with 8 guys. So we'll see how his points play out in comparison.
