Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 140. - Give a brief overview.Joker is good at taking a punch, but any special attack or ranged attack is gonna bypass his defense power. Joker has a good melee attack and a great D20 power that is easy to depend on in combat.
Spoiler Alert!

Map: Custom.
Units: Joker II - VS - Batgirl. Ranged attacks and disengage keeps Joker from getting value out of his Laugh It Off power. Who won and how many wounds did they have?Nightcrawler wins with 3 wounds.
Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 140. - Give a brief overview.Joker should have done a touch better here, but his D20 was not Hot and Nasty at all.
Map: Custom.
Units: Joker - VS - Arkham Inmates x2.
Spoiler Alert!
Joker got into a bottle neck and waited and waited and waited for the Inmates so that they could only attack him two at a time. They did avoid clustering too, so that made Joker's spray a bit less than normal, not that it would have mattered, because he only rolled over 15 once the entire game! Who won and how many wounds did they have?Arkham Inmates win with 2 men left.
Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? I am thinking that maybe 130 would be better. He is just so susceptible to ranged attacks. - Give a brief overview.Joker isn't fast enough, tough enough, or ranged enough to really compete.
Map: Custom.
Units: Joker - VS - LexCorp Agents.
Spoiler Alert!
Joker didn't stand a chance. They flew in and took opposite sides of him and shot him down. He did get to engage one, and spray it for its death, but his attack was not going to penetrate that Kryptonian Armor anytime soon. Who won and how many wounds did they have?LexCorp wins with 1 man left.
Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 140. - Give a brief overview.Joker was tricky, hard to kill, and lots of fun to play.
Map: Custom.
Units: Joker II, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Arkham Inmates x2, and Skrull Infiltrator x1 - VS - Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Hawkmen of Thanagar, and Atom.
Spoiler Alert!
The Hawks moved up bringing Hawkgirl along who was also bringing Atom along. Scarecrow moved up and threw his cannister. Hawkgirl swooped Scarecrow and knocked him out completely from the game. The Inmates started in on Hawkgirl, then Atom slipped out and tried to kill an Inmate, he took a wound, then he "entered into Joker" (scary). Meanwhile, Harley was moving down and bombed the Hawks only killing one. Hawkgirl swooped and killed an inmate and hit Joker for her second attack, that is when Atom came out. Joker took control of Atom, put him inside of Hawkgirl, and then hit Hawkgirl. Harley moved in on Hawkman. Hawkgirl flew away and hit some inmates, but was weakened by Atom, then the Inmates took advantage of her weakness and chopped her up as Atom escaped. Later on, Hawkman had a couple of wounds, Harley was dead, and Joker was closing in on Hawkman. Somehow Joker failed his D20 rolls and attacks, and after a round, Hawkman had the wounded Joker dead. The Inmates killed Atom, then Hawkman started swooping and clearing them out, just when there were two left, one of them triggered into an aggravated assault and gave Hawkman his last wound. Who won and how many wounds did they have?Arkham Inmates win with 2 men left.
Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes. - What should be the unit's point value? 140. - Give a brief overview.Joker hits pretty decent with an attack of 4, and his D20 tricks are a lot of fun.
Map: Custom.
Units: Joker II, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Penguin, and Killer Penguins - VS - Ghost Rider, Mole Man, and Moloids x12.
Spoiler Alert!
Harley and Joker killed a lot of Moloids, and the Moloids finally killed the Killer Penguins. Mole Man was hard to hit, but once Ghost Rider moved in, Joker was able to mind control Mole Man and hit Ghost Rider from on height. Remaining Moloids took down Penguin. Catwoman started tearing into Mole Man, then Ghost Rider stared into the souls of Joker and then Harley Quinn and killed them both on consecutive turns. Catwoman and Ghost Rider started fighting, and Catwoman ended up being able to push the badly wounded Ghost Rider over the edge and kill the last two Moloids with just a bit of life left. Who won and how many wounds did they have?Catwoman wins with 6 wounds.
What if Joker Toxin was triggered after attacking or defending with Joker? Then Laugh It Off let the attacking figure choose if they wanted to attack him again.
If we went with that, we would have to drop the "temporary mind control" of Unique Heroes, to avoid turn interruption. I love that one too much to see it go. Good idea though.
LAUGH IT OFF
When Joker would receive two or more wounds from a normal adjacent attack, you may instead place one Wound Marker on this card and the attacking figure must attack Joker again if possible.
As much as I love this power, it really is too complicated and wonky when Joker is attacked by a figure with double (or more) attacks.
I am switching to this:
LAUGH IT OFF
When Joker would receive two or more wounds from a normal adjacent attack, you may instead place one Wound Marker on this card and the attacking figure's turn immediately ends.
TEST 4
Map: Custom.
Units: Joker II - VS - Black Widow. Poison Darts, Superior range, and Superior defense won this match for black widow. Who won and how many wounds did they have?.
Nice work so far Griff. Certainly can have issues with ranged opponents, but he does have 6 lives, so that helps somewhat.
He should do better in army tests with Harley getting some activations from him, not to mention him taking temporary control of a Unique Hero with Toxin can really help the team.
Hmm this was a Joker I was hoping would be more of a physical match for Batman, especially with a new Batman in the works ... are we happy with 130/140 here? Seems a bit on the weak side for the niche I was thinking this Joker would fill ...
You know (others may not until now) that I have a writeup for every single Joker figure that exists, and a couple of writeups that don't have figures yet. There will be plenty of Joker goodness down the road. This guy is the very early Golden Age Joker who uses Joker Toxin in a variety of ways and is mostly a melee attacker who doesn't respond to his own pain.
OK, just wasn't sure what niche you were looking for this Joker to fill. I'd had the Fish Guns Joker more pegged for Golden Age goodness, and this guy more pegged for 90's esq Joker with the ability to do some violence to Batman.
