The Book of Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) (Justice League)

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

I think it prevents major falling and extreme falling damage. I guess it depends if they are subcategories of falling damage.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

Yeah, the generally accepted thought seems to be they're all subcategories of falling damage. Just read a similar question and answer in an ERB thread.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

This is why I support a full revamp of falling damage that just calls everything falling damage but adds dice more intuitively. :) I'm hoping that's something the Heroes have interest in discussing/moving forward in that thread!

But, yeah, pair this guy with Angel or something, and he'd be a beast on Skyscrapers!

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

It looks like the "on his turn" went missing from Arrow of Justice after you made that change before your last game Archie. So currently he can still rapid fire on Cupid's Arrow.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

That was purposeful. We removed the Cupid's Arrow/Arrow to the Rescue chain entirely, so multi attacking on Cupid's Arrow is less of a concern.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

Eh, I personally felt the Cupid's Arrow multiattack was by far the stronger play there compared to the chain. It was quite vicious in practice, especially when Black Canary was teamed with someone like Dick Robin to keep her alive longer.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

We bumped up the roll a bit (12->14) since you tested as well. I feel like we've reigned him in a good amount.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

I'm moreso taking it from the "risking invalidating Green Arrow I" standpoint than the power level, which has obviously been tweaked since my games. At least in my games it looks like that roll change would have had minimal effect.

Heck, like I said, in my game I played it thinking you couldn't do both already.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

Hmmm....yeah I'm not sure how I feel about making this Green Arrow a significantly better option than the previous Green Arrows as it related to Black Canary and Cupid's Arrow. I guess you are paying for that increase as he's 60 points more expensive than the last Oliver, and 80 point more than Conner.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

Green Arrow 1 has longer range and Cupid's Arrow can boost his Skill Shot, so there's that at least. (Plus the Archer synergies that Green Arrow 2 trades for Champion synergies.) I don't think Green Arrow 2 invalidates Green Arrow 1 any more than Batman 2 or 3 invalidates Batman 1.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

Agreed on not feeling like it invalidates the first one. As someone who's played the first one a fair amount of times, I think it still has plenty of draftability as a more general army friendly unit(compared to this version's class necessities to gain the markers), and the 60 point difference certainly helps.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

Yea

If nothing else I am glad we got to put that comic art on a card - I think it was my phone background for like a year! Lots of great covers in the late Rebirth era.

Re: The Book of Green Arrow (II) (vote for release)

Being able to use a good looking comic art on a card is half the reason I design.
