SPEED FORCE
Flash may move through all figures, never takes leaving engagement attacks, and does not have to stop his movement when entering water spaces. After Flash's turn, if he did not attack, you may either move him up to an additional 4 spaces, or choose up to 3 figures Flash moved through this turn and roll an unblockable attack die against each chosen figure.

FLASH TIME
After any figure you control with the Superspeed or Speed Force special power is attacked by an opponent’s figure, you may move Flash up to 4 spaces. At the end of the round, you may move each figure you control with the Superspeed or Speed Force special power up to 4 spaces each.

Titans Go for Speedsters is a really interesting approach here! He'll both be able to run without his aunt Iris and also really appreciate her being around since she can make such good use of the "X."

Flash Time is really going to appreciate Team Flash Barry in order to get his carry on the bonus move.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Yep, working around all the various ways the Speedsters already get bonding was a goal here, just so you can play everyone together. Wally gets his big Titans Go turn, then you can use Iris, Wallace West, or the Tornado Twins to keep turn efficiency up for the rest of the round.

Flash Time keeps the defensive auras from Max Mercury and Jay Garrick where you need them, and gets Impulse out of danger before the start of the round when his Impulsive Movement resets. I dig the idea of Team Flash Barry's Carry working then as well.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Bonding flashes sounds pretty scary, but we'll see. Definitely want to see this army against other armies with leader figures or other key units like Invisible Woman, since they might tear those armies apart due to being great assassins on their own.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Scary and already existing courtesy of Iris. :-D But, yeah, this can add on to that.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Yeah Iris is at least squishy and can be shot. This guy is a proper solid leader, if that makes sense.

She can also be hid in the start zone and protected, but sure, yeah. I think the thing to watch is more how the two stack than anything.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Leader feels like an odd class at first glance (and as someone who doesn't really read a ton of Flash admittedly.) When the Flashes get together, is Wally usually the undisputed 'man in charge?'

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Wally is typically the guy who gathers everyone and leads the charge, yeah. I'm cool switching up the class, I just felt Leader sold the design better.

Before Barry came back, absolutely.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Cool, if it works, it works. The only suggestion I had in mind was Champion, so the Flash Fam could more easily slot into a bigger JL build, but I get not wanting a repeat class here.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

I mean, for those who wrongfully disparage and despise Wally (I), another Champion version would be nice, for sure. :p Barry (II) being a Champion allows for a lot of fun build flexibility.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Wally (I) fulfills all my Champion Wally needs personally.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

I agree that Leader as a class stands out as a little strange to me, but I've never read much with Wally so most of my exposure to the character is from the TV show.

Wally isn't a character on the TV show. Or at least this guy isn't the same character. The TV show Wally is the same as the comics Wallace. This Wally was a character in the comics before either version of Wallace existed and had a large run (Post-Crisis to Pre-Flashpoint) where he was *the* Flash in the DCU and often led other speedsters (Impulse, Max Mercury, Jay, Johnny Quick, Jesse Quick) in his comic.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

I assumed he meant the Justice League Cartoon. :p

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

I guess my general read on the Leader class is that it's really for the "call the shots" guys. Cyclops, Star-Lord (comics version), Optimus, and I could see Cap being one if he wasn't a Soldier. Guys that really seem like they could have a little playbook in their back pocket at any time.

Wally has always felt more like Hal Jordan or Superman to me, where he "leads" by virtue of being the main character and pushing everyone forward, not by having specific leadership qualities. Not sure if that read is accurate, but that's why it stands out to me.

So Officer it is.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

I think he does a little of the more active leadership in his solo book with the Flash Family (and I think that's what this design represents) but I agree he's not iconic as a leader like those other guys Nobody mentioned.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

Like Bats said, I think Leader fits well here, but I'm always happy to bow to the majority if people prefer differently. Do people like Champion better? I don't think it'd be a cost driver as in JL builds, I want more Champions rather than half Speedsters half Champions.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

I personally see Leader as "leader of a Superhero team" as a class and just don't have the experience with Wally to see him that way, if it tracks it tracks. Others were just expressing concerns about it so I figured laying out where I was might help. I'm not against the class.

Re: The Book of Flash (Flash Family) - breathing

I think that type of build would be strongest with something like Wonder Woman, both Champion Flashes (maxing Wonder Woman's markers), and then like Jay.
