Love the name ... with as many Gotham units as we have released, this is begging for a scenario ...

One thing 'Clix really needs... Specialized goons. We need some Joker thugs, Riddler thugs, etc, to go with the baddies! That'd be so awesome, even if to just proxy as Street Thugs! :p Seeing the same thugs over and over gets a little old, haha!

Re: C3G Map in progress - Crime Alley

lol, well, get a NM24 nomination and you can design some Joker thugs yourself. :)
I'd rather see Hyenas for Joker, Quiz and Query for Riddler, and stick with the generic Thugs for ... generic Thugs.

I meant sculpts that I could use, that LOOK like Joker/Riddler/etc thugs.
But I've already got my guys for my design picked out. :p

Re: C3G Map in progress - Crime Alley

Gotcha. I'd be curious what guys you have picked out, but if you want to tell me, take it to the Cave. :) We've hijacked this thread enough!

Re: C3G Map in progress - Crime Alley

I'm a BIG fan of this map - it really captures the feel of, well... Crime Alley. And it seems like a lot of fun, to boot.

Only problem is I'm about three sets short on building material! Alas and alack...

Looks like the issues I had have been addressed.

I vote yes to release Crime Alley as a casual map.

A3n, do you have a PDF for this?

P.S. The title of the thread needs to change too.

Re: Book of Crime Alley Map

Yep, due to my request, I believe. It was just too good an opportunity to pass up. :)

Re: Book of Crime Alley Map

Finally got a second Marvel set so I can built this. I currently have Grundy's Grave built for playtesting.

I am just getting into C3G. My oldest is now 7 and I gave him the flat maps from Arena of the Planes walkers and the Marvel figures for when he plays on his own (the actual terrain is too fragile for him and I don't really like him playing unaccompanied with the normal Scape figures either). He is loving it!

For Christmas, I got him the Incredibles pack and printed the C3G cards for them. We have been playing on Crime Alley since then and it's seen a lot of playtime!

We just finished a 4-player scenario in which Dr Doom + Red Skull and Abomination + Venom try to steal Jack-Jack out of the third story apartment of the Parrs. Mr Incredible and Elastigirl were out with Dash and enter the street just as the bad guys show up. Violet is home alone taking care of Jack-Jack and Spiderman helps the Incredibles out (Mr. Incredible+ Spiderman; the other four Incredibles). We played twice with a Side-Switch and both times the good guys won (they did have a slight edge with points, but were better for the map).

In the first game, Violet was knocked off the balcony with Knockback and landed below, allowing her to rally the Incredibles around her for a defensive boost. Red Skull got into the thick of it and rolled once for three figures, killing Spiderman with his Dust. Elastigirl landed a total of three perfect attack rolls against Venom and Dr. Doom while Robert rolled poorly while under Mind Exchange. Mr. Incredible accidentally killed Violet by knocking Venom into her. Nevertheless, the good guys won.

In the second game, Spiderman and Elastigirl made it to Jack-Jack quickly and blocked him into the apartment after Abomination one-hit Violet. They managed to extract Jack-Jack and protect him near their side. Red Skull nailed Mr. Incredible with only two wounds, drastically affecting the flow of things, which looked good for the Incredibles. Venom landed four wounds on a too slow Spiderman and the villains cleaned up the rest of the heroes. All they had to do was transport Jack-Jack back..... Jack-Jack turned to fire and burnt Abomination for a last wound. Red Skull pulled him through the alley to the exit and as he was crossing the street, Jack-Jack teleported twice up to the rooftop. Dr. Doom went up to get him, but Jack-Jack rolled high and landed unlockable blanks on him, finishing him off. Jack-Jack was moved to the ground to keep the game going and finished Red Skull off on the way out! A ton of fun on a very good map!

The map was a pain for all the Walkers, but excellent fun for Superhero fights!

Awesome.

My son was 5 when he started getting interested so glad to hear other stories of dad's getting their kids in young.

Lots of memories will be made.

Hmm I wish there was a good way to make a map like this competitively viable. The kiting potential is just so high. It’s really cool looking, though.

Getting rid of the start zone height and making the towers not able to be occupied would probably do it. Definitely a cool looking map for sure.

Cool report Tai-Pan!

I did a ruin-style map before I built this and had the tentacle things from Arena of the Planeswalker work like lifts - a figure could move onto the base space and be lifted directly to the next "floor", where he could continue moving. Maybe something like a rule for glyphs of Brandar inside that any figure that moves onto that space can choose which level it gets off at. That would have figures running in and out, let them have cover from shooters outside or on the roof and allow melee to quickly go up and down.

Or come up with something using a 7-piece (or smaller) that you can move up and down during a turn, allowing for epic Elevator-Opening fights and escapes.
