We need to do one of 3 things to the design for sure.
Do you prefer we
A - make it so that Brainiac can lose the Shrink Gun (can't pick it up again because he is an Event Hero) and just lower the D20 roll or keep it low (Basically keep everything as is)
or
B - make it so that Brainiac can't lose the Shrink Gun except by death, then bump the D20 roll to 19 or higher
or
C - make him a Unique Hero and keep the power and D20 as is so that he can lose the Shrink Gun, but has a chance to get it back
Either option would help ensure that he is going to collect someone at some point, which is important.
Well if Griffin is shooting for 600+ in cost, I'd hate to see him be auto-destroyable. And Mental Shield makes sense thematically, given his telepathic abilities. That's less important than my first point, though, IMO.
I'm fine with B or C, but I think B would have less wording and less complexity, so give me B.
This is hard. I would say C because he is as likely to be auto-destroyed as Superman, but keeping as an Event Hero is also fine in which case I would vote B.
Adding MENTAL SHIELD as a 4th power would really just max out the card to a state of "too much text" IMO. Also, This guy is more of an EVENT Villain than Master Mold or Mxyzptlk is for sure. He is never NOT an Event Villain.
Well down to Hahma, and the Bs already have it, and if I know Hahma, I think he is likely to vote B as well.
I think we can give it a shot. The only thing I'm wondering is if it is going to be thematic for the character or fun for the opponent to have him shrinking opponents every turn. I'm not as concerned about the shrunken ones being placed on the card if it's a roll of 19+ (or 18 with 12LI) as that can happen if he's an Event Hero. If you send out several big guys after him, he's going to shrink/smash, shrink/smash, shrink smash if there are 3 to shrink. Otherwise he'll shrink them once and pummel them and keep it up for each hero that comes along. He'll have a threat range of 10 with the Shrink Ray, and only having to roll a 4+ is going to happen most of the time. But I guess Supes would still have an attack of 5 and WW has her bracelets vs. his ranged attack and an attack of 4 in close after getting shrunk. GL's have good ranged attacks if they have teammates that can keep B busy. Also, Doctor Light could help keep B from using the Shrink Ray against him or others close to him. So it should just be a matter of attrition in taking him down but kind of a pain remembering who's shrunk and who isn't during each round and the different effects it can have on them, but that shouldn't be too much of a big deal.
MINIATURIZED COLLECTION
Start the game with the Glyph of Shrinking Ray Gun on this card. Mandarin cannot lose this Equipment Glyph by any means unless he is destroyed. After moving and before attacking, you may choose a Tiny Unique Hero within 4 clear sight spaces and roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 18 or higher, place the figure on this card.
- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them. Pass
- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game. Pass
- BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding. Pass
- SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit too powerful or too weak. Pass
- POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any. Pass
- FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play. Pass
- FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against. Pass

Great game. I really thought Team Brain was gonna steam role after Flash died so quickly, but things turned around in balance. I really like Brainiac's power set.

Units: Brainiac, Yellow Jacket, and Fire Ants x8 - VS - Batman, Robin, Oracle, Alfred, Skrull Infiltrator x3, Flash, and Aquaman.

ROUND 1 - The Ants went out first clashing with Batman and Robin and making their way to Flash. At one point, Batman engaged an Ant and attacked with his batarang hoping it would kill the and so that he could attack two more that were almost out of range, but he only rolled a skull and though the Ant failed the block, Brainiac's 12th level intellect gave the ant an auto shield. The round ended with 3 wounds on flash and 6 Ants destroyed.
ROUND 2 - Team Brain won initiative and so the last two ants engaged Flash, then when their order was revealed, Brainiac rolled a 7 for Telepathic Manipulation and killed flash. The Ants then targeted Robin but failed. Batman and Robin quickly killed the last ants and Brainiac and Yellow Jacket moved up with Yellow Jacket shrinking Batman and forcing him to run away scared. The round ended with Ants destroyed, Flash destroyed, 2 wounds on Robin, 1 wound on Wasp, and no glyph in Wasp's hand.
ROUND 3 - Batman used Oracle's Secret Attack Plan and hit Brainiac for 3 skulls, Brainiac whiffed, then used 12th Level Intellect to form an auto shield and take two wounds. Robin then risked a future Telepathic Manipulation by moving next to Batman then hit Brainiac for 2 wounds. Wasp killed Robin. Wasp antagonized Batman but Batman kept on swinging away and attacking Brainiac while that X marker was down and his 12th level intellect was weak. Brainiac fought back with a 3 wound hit on Batman. This round ended with Ants destroyed, Wasp with 1 wound, Brainiac with 5 wounds, Robin destroyed, Flash destroyed, and Batman with 3 wounds.
ROUND 4- Wasp wins initiative and kills the wound Batman, then Oracle puts all of Batman's orders on Aquaman's card. Alfred grabs the shrink gun, shoots Wasp for a wound and shrinks him with the shrink gun. Brainiac picks a fight with Aquaman and finally shrinks him/someone. Brainiac creates a shield for himself against Aquaman's attack with contingency plan. Then Aquaman heals one wound. Brainiac then collects Aquaman and hits Oracle for 1 wound. Oracle contingency plan kicked in and she took Aquaman's last turn. Oracle hit Brainiac for 1 wound. This round ends with Ants destroyed, Wasp with 2 wounds, Brainiac with 7 wounds, Batman destroyed, Robin destroyed, Flash destroyed, Aquaman collected, 1 wound on Oracle.
ROUND 5 - Oracle goes first and uses secret attack plan to hit Brainiac for 2 wounds, but he uses 12th intellect to block one more hit and only takes 1 wound. Brainiac hits oracle for 2 wounds then shrinks her. Oracle fails her tiny attack. Brainiac misses his collection by just 1 on the D20 and he already used up his 12 intellect so he just punched her and killed her instead. Alfred failed his shot on Brainiac. The round ended with ants dead, Wasp with 2 wounds, Brainiac with 8 wounds, Batman dead, Robin dead, Flash dead, Aquaman collected, and Oracle dead.
ROUND 6 - Aflred shoots Brainiac and would have killed him for 2 wounds but Brainiac used 12th Intellect and created a shield for himself to only take one wound instead. Then Alfred Shrunk Brainiac!!! Brainiac hits Alfred for only 2 wounds with his now tiny attack (Alfred lost the glyph), then Shrinks him. Alfred shoots and fails his attack on Brainiac. Brainiac fails to collect Alfred or hit him. When an order was revealed on the Skrull's card, Brainiac chose the one next to Alfred and used his Telepathic Manipulation to deal a wound to Alfred and kill him. The Skrull actually hit Brainiac for a wound and killed him. Wasp tried but failed to kill a Skrull. At the end of this round, the only ones left are Wasp with 2 wounds and Skrulls with 3 "men" left.
ROUND 7 - Wasp kills a Skrull. Skrull fails an attack. Wasp kills a Skrull. Skrull hits Yellow Jacket for one wound. Yellow jacket kills the last Skrull. Who won and how many wounds did they have?Yellow jacket wins with 3 wounds.

Both tests so far have been very close, and I really thought that the Hawks would stomp Brainiac down this game, but him "collecting" Atom and then especially a healthy Hawkgirl, really made this one close. Great game, and great design so far.

ROUND 1 - Dazzler dazzled Hawkgirl and killed a Hawk with Brainiac's 12th Level Intellect help. Hawks moved up with Hawkgirl and carrying Atom, and killed Dazzler. Brainiac engaged Atom and "collected" him with an 18, then shot and killed a Hawk, then shrunk Hawkgirl. Hawkgirl swooped in and failed her attack (+1 for the swoop, -1 for Dazzled, and -1 for Shrunk = Attack of 5) and missed, then the Hawks cleaned up and hit Brainiac for 3 wounds, allowing Hawkgirl to escape. Brainiac failed to "collect" Hawkgirl, but he punched and killed a Hawk, then killed another one with his shrink gun. Atom failed his turn as he was "collected".
ROUND 2 - Brainiac disengages from two Hawks, only one rolls a skull, Brainiac uses 12th Level Intellect to remove the skull. He then flies towards Hawkman and fires but fails, but then shrinks him. Hawkgirl moves towards Brainiac, but can't reach him or her husband. Brainiac engages Hawkman, fails to capture him, fails to punch him, then shrinks a nearby hawk for the kill. The Hawkmen move in and hit Brainiac for 1 wound, then allow Hawkman to fly 4 spaces away safely (but still in threat range of being captured). Brainiac fails his "capture" on Hawkman, fails his attack on a Hawk, and fails his shrink gun on a Hawk. Hawkgirl swoops in and hits Brainiac for 2 wounds, but she missed one of her attacks, so the Hawkmen attacked and failed their attacks, then they allowed Hawkgirl to fly out again.
ROUND 3 - Brainiac punches and kills a Hawk, then shrinks Hawkgirl. Hawkgirl hits Brainiac with her swoop for 2 wounds, then 2 more wounds, also forcing him to use his 12th Intellect to create a shield for himself. Brainiac "collects" Hawkgirl!!! then kills a Hawk. The last Hawk advances. Brainiac hits Hawkman for 2 wounds then shrinks and kills the last Hawk. Hawkgirl loses a turn because she is captured with Atom.
ROUND 4 - Hawkman hits Brainiac with two skulls, and brainiac rolls 1 shield, but uses 12th Intellect to create a shield for himself and block it. Brainiac hits Hawkman for 1 wound (this is now down to Brainiac with 1 life left VS Hawkman with 1 life left), then he shrinks Hawkman. Hawkman punches with his reduced attack of now 5, and rolls all skulls and kills Brainiac!!! Who won and how many wounds did they have?Hawkman wins with 4 wounds.

Units: Brainiac, Lex Luthor (Battlesuit), and LexCorp Security x1 - VS - Joker, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Hush, Deadpool, Creeper, and Arkham Inmates x2.

ROUND 1 - Joker put orders 1 and X on Lex from off of Brainiac's card. Arkham Inmates move out to fill the battlefield. Lex advances to the side and shoots down on Scarecrow for 3 wounds. Hush gets Scarecrow to throw down the fear gas and punch Lex for 1 wound. Brainiac flanks the crazies to the other side of the map. Hush gets Deadpool to engage Lex to utilize some future Wisecracks, then he hits Lex for 1 wound. Brainiac engages two Inmates and punches/kills one and shrinks/kills the other.
ROUND 2 - LexCorp took a turn with just one and killed Scarecrow, then Lex took a leaving engagement attack from Deadpool, and Brainiac reduced Deadpool's skull. So Lex went after Joker and shot him for 2 wounds. Hush orders Deadpool to chase Lex down, engage him, then hit him for 1 wound. Brainiac advances, kills Joker, then Shrinks Deadpool. Hush engages Lex and fails his attack. Brainiac fails to capture Deadpool, then hits Hush for 2 wounds. Hush kills Lex.
ROUND 3 - Deadpool fails his attacks on Brainiac, then Harley Quinn attacks with her Bomb and kills an Inmate and wounds Brainiac for 2 wounds, and also removed his 3rd Order Marker. Brainiac engaged Deadpool and hit him for 2 wounds (using his 12th intellect to remove one of Deadpool's shields), then he shrunk him. Deadpool moves to height and avoids the leaving engagement attack, then puts two wounds on Brainiac, then heals a wound. Then Harley engaged Brainiac and failed her attack. Brainiac takes a wound from leaving engagement with Harley Quinn, then engages Deadpool, fails to collect him, then punches and kills him right out. Deadpool loses a turn. Brainiac loses a turn.
ROUND 4 - Creeper takes an Insanity Marker and advances while Harley takes height on Brainiac and hits him for 1 wound. Brainiac hits HQ for 4 skulls and she rolls a shield, so he uses 12th Intellect to remove it and kills her. Brainiac then shrinks Creeper. Creeper goes Insane again, then takes HQ's place on height and attacks Brainiac for 3 wounds!!! Go Creeper!!! Brainiac fails to collect Creeper, then hits him for 1 wound. Even with height and two insanity markers, Creeper's attack of 6 didn't hurt Brainiac this turn. Brainiac collects Creeper with an 18!!!! But he doesn't have range on a legal target.
ROUND 5 - Hush forces Brainiac to use his 12th Intellect to avoid damage from his adjacent attack. Brainiac hits Hush for 2 wounds then shrinks him. Hush kills Brainiac. Brainiac loses a turn. Inmates fail to wound a LexCorp Agent. LexCorp agents kill two Inmates.
ROUND 6 - LexCorp fail their attacks on Hush. Hush kills a LexCorp agent. The last Agent kills Hush. Hush loses a turn. Lex Agent kills the last Inmate. Who won and how many wounds did they have?Lex Corp win with 1 man left.

ROUND 1 - Brainiac hits Lightning Lad for 1 wound and failed to shrink him. LL failed his special attack on Brainiac. Brainiac puts 1 wound on LL and shrinks Superboy. Superboy hits Brainiac for 1 wound. Brainiac attacks Superboy and uses his 12th Intellect to deal 2 wounds to him. Timber Wolf hits Brainiac for 2 wounds.
ROUND 2 - LL fails his special attack on Brainiac. Brainiac fails his attack on Superboy, then shrinks him. LL forces Brainiac to use his 12th Intellect and gives him 1 wound. Brainiac rolls an 18 to collect Superboy, but Brainiac 5 reduces it by 1 causing it to fail. Had Brainiac saved his 12th Level Intellect, he could have countered Brainiac 5's 12th Intellect.... Brainiac then punches Superboy for 2 wounds. LL zaps Brainiac with 4 skulls giving him 2 wounds, then with 2 skulls giving him another wound (3 wounds total). HA!!! Brainiac actually rolls a 19 to capture Superboy who was one away from death anyways. Then punches Timber Wolf for 2 wounds.
ROUND 3 - Brainiac uses his 12th Intellect to remove a shield from Timber Wolf and deal a wound to him. Then shrinks TW. TW attacks and fails, then heals a wound. Brainiac fails to collect TW, then fails to punch him, so he shrinks LL. TW fails his attack, but frenzies with a 13, two wounds, and 12th Intellect boost from Brainiac 5!!! Then hits Brainiac for one wound, then heals a wound. Brainiac fails to collect TW, so he punches TW for 3 wounds. LL fails his SA on Brainiac. Brainiac fails to collect TW, so he then kills him.
ROUND 4 - LL zaps Brainiac for 4 skulls, Brainiac takes a wound. Then LL zaps again for 2 skulls, and Brainiac only rolls a single shield, so he uses 12th Intellect to give himself a shield and avoid taking another wound (he is now 3 wounds away from death). Brainiac punches and kills LL, then shrinks Brainiac 5. LL loses a turn. Brainiac fails to collect Brainy 5, then Brainy 5 avoids the attack with his Shield Belt. Brainy 5 fails his attack. Brainiac fails to collect Brainy 5 and also misses with his attack because of the Shield Belt.
ROUND 5 - Wow, Brainy 5 rolls 3 skulls and forces Brainiac to use 12th Intellect to only take a single wound (now 2 wounds away from death). Brainy 5 avoids Brainiac's attack with the Shield Belt again, then Brainiac shrinks him. Brainy 5 fails his attack. Brainiac fails to collect and fails his attack against the Shield Belt. Brainy 5 puts a wound on Brainiac!!!! (one away from death now). Brainiac fails to collect Brainy 5, then hits him, destroys his belt, and puts 2 wounds on him.
ROUND 6 - Brainiac hits Brainy 5 for 3 wounds and then uses 12th Intellect to remove a shield and give him his final hit!!! Who won and how many wounds did they have?Brainiac wins with 11 wounds.

The thieves ability to keep Brainiac desperate for his glyph was a key strategy, and Superman had a great finishing attack, though Brainiac's 12th Intellect was really working well for him against Superman as well.

Units: Brainiac - VS - Superman II, Shadow Thief, Vulture, and Doctor Light.

ROUND 1 - Shadow Thief does nothing on his turn and just disappears. Brainiac starts to take a turn, and Shadow Thief pops up and takes his Shrink Gun. Brainiac punches for 2 skulls, Shadow Thief blocks both, then Brainiac uses 12th Intellect to reduce a shield and get a wound in on Shadow Thief and knock that glyph out of his hands. Shadow Thief swings and misses his attack on Brainiac. Brainiac takes a wound from leaving Shadow Thief's engagement, and grabs his glyph, but can't shoot it now, as he is too close to Doctor Light. Vulture flies in and takes the glyph from Brainiac, lands engaged to him, fails his attack, then shrinks Brainiac! "Ha, how do you like it, Space Brain?" Brainiac attacks Vulture and fails his attack.
ROUND 2 - Brainiac hits Vulture for 2 wounds and knocks the Shrink Gun away. Superman flies in and hits Brainiac for 2 wounds. Brainiac leaves Superman and Vulture and used 12th Intellect to avoid Superman's leaving engagement attack and grabbed his shrink gun. Shadow Thief found Brainiac, attacked him, failed his attack, then disappeared. Brainiac started to take a turn, and Shadow Thief popped up and stole his Gun, then Brainiac killed Shadow Thief with a 5 skull death punch!!! and knocked the glyph away to a location that was dangerous to try to grab. But Superman raced in to pick up the glyph anyways, then Superman put 2 wounds on Brainiac with a 5 skull Heat Vision Blast.
ROUND 3 - Superman took height and blasted Brainiac again with his Heat Vision, then failed to shrink him with the shrink gun. Brainiac engaged and hit Superman for what would have been 2 wounds, but 12th Intellect kicked in to remove a Blank on Superman's defense roll, and so Superman took 3 wounds and lost the glyph. Superman punches Brainiac for 3 wounds. Brainiac safely breaks away from Superman and grabs his shrink gun, then shoots Superman for 1 wound, then shrinks him too. Superman scared, flies over by Doctor Light where Brainiac can't engage Superman an Brainiac can't target him. Brainiac hides his eyes behind a Ruin and shoots and kills Vulture.
ROUND 4 - Brainiac uses 12 Intellect to put 3 wounds on Superman. Superman kills Brainiac with a 7 skull fist attack. Who won and how many wounds did they have?Superman and Doctor Light win with 7 wounds on Superman and 0 wounds on Doctor Light.
