Character Bio - Irrawaddy Skinner, a showman who dresses like Uncle Sam, has brought his Cursed Earth dinosaurs to Mega-City One so he can charge people to see them. Skinner's four great carnivorous dinosaurs are very unhappy at being caged and keep hurting themselves. The showman tells his robot assistant, Granville, that it doesn't matter if they kill themselves because there's plenty more where they came from. Granville feels compassion for the captives and wants to get them back in the Cursed Earth somehow. A daring escape unleashes the fearsome four on the streets of MC-1 and a clash with Judges, including Dredd himself. - from britishcomics.wikia

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

NAME = BOB

SPECIES = DINOSAUR
UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO
CLASS = DEVOURER
PERSONALITY = FEROCIOUS

SIZE/HEIGHT = HUGE 14 (2-Hex)

LIFE = 1

MOVE = 6
RANGE = 1
ATTACK = 6
DEFENSE = 4

POINTS = 65

TOO TOUGH TO DIE
Start the game with one gray Head Marker on this card. Whenever Bob would receive one or more wounds, you must remove the Head Marker from this card to ignore those wounds. Before rolling for initiative each round, if there is not a Head Marker on this card, you must destroy Bob.

BOB & CAROL & TED & RINGO
After revealing an Order Marker on this card and before taking a turn with Bob, you may take a turn with up to three other figures you control that have the Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo special power.

TOUGH

When rolling defense dice against a normal attack, Bob always adds one automatic shield to whatever is rolled.

SUPER STRENGTH

In Too Tough To Die, use “it” consistently instead of “them.”

Super Strength is two words.

Other than that, lets get this into testing! :-D

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

Same question as I asked before:

Do you mean destroy any one figure or all figures?

TOO TOUGH TO DIE
When one of these figures would receive 1 or more wound markers from an attack or special power, instead of removing it from play you may place a single wound marker on its base. Before rolling for initiative each round, destroy any of these figures with 1 or more wound markers on its base.

Destroy figures with a wound marker on its base.

Does that work?

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

Yeah as worded Tornado you can have two figures receive wounds in a round and then at the next round you only have to destroy 1 figure. I believe your intent is to have all figures with a wound on it base to be destroyed before the next round, Correct?

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

Yes, but all of them or just one of them?

EDIT: :ninja: If you want them to last longer, you could go for just one.

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

All figures with a wound marker on their base.

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

Is that picture supposed to focus on the #1 at top or the "all" at the bottom?

;)

Personally, I like destroying only 1 figure. Let the dinos rampage for at least 4 rounds.

??? Not seeing that post Bats.

Supposed to focus on the "free and clear." :p

Interesting idea, quozl, but sounds really powerful.

It's just a bottle of All detergent. You know I don't contribute anything important here .... :p

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

I like designs like this that bend the rules just a little bit. We'll be busting out the AotP wound markers for these guys for sure.

New comments from me! Devourers is a fun class! I just realized these guys were going to be a squad of double-spaced figures, which I believe is a first for C3G though I might be wrong. Plenty of them in classic, though. I would like to propose Too Tough To Die be renamed to simply Too Tough. That way, you'd get a nice ring between Tough and Too Tough, and as it reads right now, Too Tough To Die seems awfully similar to a recent Sanctum power Too Adorable to Kill.

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

All C3G squads are medium, single-based except the Killer Penguins, who are small.

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

There is one other small squad On Deck.

We are a little short on size variety in squads, just since we tend toward Medium 5 and not so many squads get made. Good variety here. :up:

I like 'Too Tough to Die' better than plain ol' 'Too Tough', and I think you should probably have to destroy all of em when they're wounded, instead of just 1.

See my recent post in the LAST CHANCE thread for another small squad that is on Deck...some Fearsome little guys...

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

I just want to see them in action and find out what they can do.

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

I never settled on points. Thoughts? 200?

Re: The Book of Bob & Carol & Ted & Ringo (Big Breaths)

200 seems like a sound ballpark to start at. You get 4 great attackers that are tricky to take down. If used well, Too Tough To Die is going to be nasty, but if the enemy plays around it, it should be fine.
