AVENGERS CONTINGENCY

At the start of the game, you may choose 1 other Unique Hero you control and place a white Avenger Marker on its card. When a Unique Hero you control that is an Agent or that has an Avenger Marker on its card is destroyed by an enemy figure, you may immediately remove any unrevealed Order Markers from that card and place them on this card. For the rest of the round, after revealing an Order Marker on this card, before taking a turn with Black Widow, you may take a turn with one other Unique Hero you control that is an Agent or that has an Avenger Marker on its card, and you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control.

CLOSE COMBAT DEXTERITY
Black Widow never takes leaving engagement attacks and may attack with an adjacent normal attack up to 2 times at any point before, during, or after her normal move, as long as she is on a space where she could end her movement.

ELECTRIC STUN BATON
If Black Widow inflicts one or more wounds on an adjacent Unique Hero with her normal attack, you may roll the 20-sided die, adding 2 to the roll for each wound inflicted this turn. If you roll 16 or higher, you may remove one unrevealed Order Marker at random from the defending figure’s Army Card.

I already have 9 points towards my next B-slot, so I won't get precious about mini pics at all. :p Definitely appreciate any help.

I was going to try to ape the backgrounds to one of the other two figures in this SSE, but Winter Soldier's actual in use background isn't linked and Falcon's is up in the sky, which would be odd for her.

Oh, other note, for thread naming, should we call this Black Widow (II) like Wasp (II) or Black Widow (Avengers) like we did for one of the Iron Man threads?

I took the pics linked here a while back thinking they could be used for this design, but my BW’s arm socket is also slightly off.

I'd just go with (II) here. I think Iron Man got a more specific tag due to the fact he already had so many designs done. The different basic suits were all numbered, then special suits like Stealth and Hulkbuster got their own designation, so an Avengers themed card got the specific call out to make it easier to find in the index.

Honestly, with the electric stun thing and the strong Avengers ties, you could just call this an "MCU" version and go all-in, since, I mean, this is essentially the MCU version. :lol: I'd recommend the gray bodysuit, which she wore during the era she was actually leading the Avengers, but I don't believe it's ever been clixed.

Personally I'd go with "instead of" rather than "in addition to" for the turns in Contingency, but that's just a mechanical preference. Should the Electric Stun Batons only trigger in melee? Might give her more tension during those bonus turns.

Ehh, I think doing "instead of" really weakens the pay off and lowers the power of the design quite a bit.

The problem with the Stun Batons is that it's a reuse power off of Anarky. So if we specified adjacent only, we'd have to do the same for him. I'm OK asking for that change on him if that's what folks prefer, as I do think it makes more sense to be melee only for her.

She does have the Widow's Bite that could conceivably 'stun' you at range. Range 5 is too far for that though. I'd be fine just updating the other card to specify it only works in melee.

Happy to lean into it and call this the MCU Black Widow and use a CO symbol like we did with Falcon.

So options are to:

1. Leave it as is.
2. Just tweak the range here down to 3 or 4 and consider that "Widow's Bite."
3. Change Stun Baton on Anarky's card.

I would be fine with a range of 3-4 here. I just wanted some range cause she uses ranged weapons from time to time.

Truth!

Stuff like:
Does this figure have a melee power that might get reused on someone with a range of more than 1, does this need a OM restriction or no extra turn language for other cards that may want to use this... Could probably avoid half the edits we have to make to older cards for this.

I'm fine with any of those options. Anarky has a range of 1, so it's not a gameplay change for him (outside of the Bat Shurikens). But it's easy to imagine Widow throwing a stun baton too.

Widow's Bite has a range of 3 on the other Black Widow, so I could see just going range 3 here and it being easier?

And, yeah, we could probably update a few things on the consistency checklist. Anyone feel like tackling the language for that over there? I tend to overwrite such things.
