Character Bio -

Samantha Eve Wilkins was experimented on before she was even born, to become a powerful weapon for the government. She was switched at birth however, with a stillborn child to prevent the government from seizing her. At a young age, she discovered her powers to manipulate matter on an atomic scale. She became a science prodigy, which turns out to be a side effect of her powers. Not only could she change her own molecular density (allowing her to fly), but she could transform matter into other matter, such as turning a vegetable into a cheeseburger while retaining the health benefits of the vegetable. She also didn't need a tailor, as she transforms her normal clothes into her costume.

As her after-school activity, she joined Robot's Teen Team, along side Dupli-Kate and Eve's boyfriend Rex-Splode. After Invincible had his powers manifest and dons a costume, he ran into the Teen Team while fighting a common enemy, and then joins the team. Realizing that Eve goes to the same school as he does, they quickly became friends.

The Teen Team is short lived, however. Not only does Robot get a job at the government sanctioned Guardians of the Globe, but Eve found her boyfriend Rex-Splode cheating on her. While much of the team joined the new Guardians, Invincible had his own problems to deal with, and Eve decided to go to Africa to help people with her powers in a more humanitarian way. She is brought back into the superhero world every so often to face larger threats, and eventually began a relationship with Invincible.

UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO
CLASS = PROTECTOR
PERSONALITY = GUARDED
SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5

LIFE = 4
MOVE = 6
RANGE = 4
ATTACK = 4
DEFENSE = 4
POINTS = 200

MOLECULAR SHIELD
Start the game with three pink Transmutation Markers and place one on this card. If Atom Eve or any friendly figure adjacent to her is attacked and at least one skull is rolled, before rolling defense dice you may remove one Transmutation Marker from this card to add 1 automatic shield to whatever is rolled.

MATTER TRANSMUTATION 16
Once per turn, before rolling attack dice with Atom Eve or a Viltrumite within 4 clear sight spaces of Atom Eve, you may place a Transmutation Marker on Atom Eve's card or the card of an opponent's figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Atom Eve, and roll the 20-sided die. On a roll of 16 or higher, you may remove one marker other than an Order Marker from Atom Eve's card or the card of a figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Atom Eve.

ATOMIC ALTERATION
An enemy figure with your Transmutation Marker on its card rolls 1 fewer defense die when defending against attacks from figures you control. After an opponent's figure with one or more Transmutation Markers on its card rolls defense dice, if it received at least one wound from that attack, remove all Transmutation Markers from its card.

Nice!

I would like it if she had some reason to run with Invincible. Haven't read the book in a long time, so I'm not sure what to suggest on that front - might be enough to make her a Champion so that they run in the same circles.

Does she look like Rocket Raccoon? :razz:

Nice ideas here. She looks right now to be pretty low points (100ish?), but I don't know her at all, so that could be the target.

So freaking happy to see her moving forward!!

I'd suggest something like Protector for her class. Does she really spend much time fighting crime?

For personality, I like "Guarded."

MOLECULAR SHIELD
Atom Eve starts the game with a Pink Molecular Shield marker. If Atom Eve or any friendly figure adjacent to her is attacked, add 1 automatic shield to whatever is rolled, then remove the Molecular Shield marker.

I'm sure you're not wanting to add an automatic shield to the attack roll! How about this for wording?

MOLECULAR SHIELD
Start the game with a Pink Molecular Shield marker on this card. If Atom Eve or an adjacent, friendly figure rolls defense against an attack, you may remove the Pink Molecular Shield marker to add one automatic shield to your roll.

I made it a "you may" power, because she's fairly in control of using her powers to shield someone or not. Didn't seem like it should be an area where she has no choice.

ATOMIC ALTERATION
After moving and before attacking, you may roll the 20-sided die. On a roll of 11 or higher, you may remove any marker from Atom Eve's card, or remove any marker or add a wound marker to any figure's card within 4 clear sight spaces of Atom Eve, or you may add a Molecular Shield marker to Atom Eve's card.

A Molecular Shield Marker? Is she going to have more than one she can add? Or should it be "the" Molecular Shield Marker? Some other editing can be done there, but none that would affect intent. I just want to make sure I get all the intent down first. :)

MOLECULAR REJUVENATION
Once per game, If Atom Even would receive enough wounds to be destroyed, and the Molecular Shield marker is on this card, roll the 20-sided die. On a roll of 11 or higher, ignore the attack and remove all wound markers from her card.

Should she have to remove the Molecular Shield marker when she rejuvenates?

Nice ideas here. She looks right now to be pretty low points (100ish?), but I don't know her at all, so that could be the target.

Atomic Alteration is pretty powerful and she can get an auto shield or resurrect somewhat reliably, which should extend her staying power. I wouldn't mind seeing some of her base stats tweak up just slightly, though.

Hmm, if we want to make her play well with Invincible .... (page out of Chucky's book).

ATOMIC ALTERATION
After moving and before attacking with Atom Eve or an adjacent Champion/Viltrumite, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 11 or higher, you may choose one Order Marker or other marker on the card of Atom Eve or a figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Atom Eve and remove the chosen marker, inflict an automatic wound on a figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Atom Eve, or place the Molecular Shield marker on this card.

If you made the red part Viltrumite, I'd want to play her, Robot, and either Invincible or Omni-Man together all the time.

Is the intent that you have to decide to use the marker for the auto-shield before you see the results of the attack and defense rolls or after?

Good question. It should probably be before, I’d think.

It would be cool if you could choose whether to add the auto-shield after defense dice were rolled rather than having to choose beforehand.

Yeah... got to admit, she's feeling on the weak side to me. If she could use AA passively when paired with a thematic partner such as Invincible, she'd feel better, but right now I'm going to feel reluctant to feed her an OM.

For the uninitiated...do we have a faction thread somewhere for this universe's figures...

Through the 30 seconds of research I see we have
Invincible
Robot
Omni-Man
Allen the Alien
and now Atom Eve

as well as Angstrom Levy as the lone villain?

Am I missing anyone.

I thought Omni-Man was a villain? :confused:

See, I told you I was blank on this universe.

Omni-Man is a villain initially, but he earns at least a little redemption for himself later on.

(I've only read like half the book, so far all I know he breaks bad again)

Great thing about Invincible is the boxed set of seven is at least five heroes and four villains.

Titan is the other one in that set. LP has a good write up on him.

I like that she's primarily support, and I like the gamble with the Regeneration - you really want to keep that marker on there, to keep her from being blown out, but there's always risk. But I do echo that she seems a little... low-value for someone that's messing with the fundamentals of the universe.

But I only made it like a third through, and she's essentially retired at that point already. So maybe that's appropriate?

With her life and defense being so low, would it make sense to make Molecular Rejuvenation an automatic (no D20 roll) to make her a bit less swingy? I mean, you can still catch her with the marker off her card.
