The Book of Armor

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

Added a new set of heavy hitters tests. I'm gonna test her at 100 points going forward.

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

Squad tests added. I'll knock out one of the Army tests later tonight and the other one tomorrow.

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

Looks like the Crew were pretty beastly. Not much firepower on the Mutant side though. At least Armor put a couple wounds on Wrecker.

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

Second army test completed. I feel like she's solid at 90 points and I would draft her at that level. I liked having her and Jubilee in the same army cause when you got them both into the battle, you had more choices.

Armor is more of a wall for other Mutants with a solid punch and Jubilee is more of a shooter so I feel like both of these sidekicks are draftable.

24 hours on the clock before I propose public testing.

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

Looks fine for a Pre-Yea

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

Thanks guys. It was important that I made sure Jubilee was still draftable. I like how putting Armor and Jubilee into a Mutant army together really makes a non-Professor X build viable and competitive.

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

pre-yea for playtesting at 90.

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

Just need Griffin and SirG here and I can send her out to the public.

Re: The Book of Armor - Design

I propose we send Armor to public Playtesting.

Just need SirG, not sure if he'll be on tonight or tomorrow being Christmas.

Re: The Book of Armor - VOTE for Playtesting

Small gap between family events.

yea to playtesting

Re: The Book of Armor - VOTE for Playtesting

Thanks SirG. I'll post it before my family's Christmas lunch.

C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT (Armor)

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.
PASS

- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game.
PASS

- BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding.
PASS

- SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit to powerful or too weak.
PASS

- POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any.

Army Test
- Does it pass
, Yes or No? Pass
- What should be the unit's point value? 95
- Give a brief overview. She combines with wolverine extremely well to a degree not even Luke cage can provide, she dealt the extra punch that wolverine is lacking before taking wounds as she doesn't looks like a treat. The only times she got damaged was when she didn't rolled any shields and I think this was supposed to be the way she was thought of, which is really cool.

Units: psylocke, jean grey, ironman mark I 500
wolverine, nightcrawler, armor 510

- What should be the unit's point value? 90
- Give a brief overview. With jubilee she always provided the alternative and very flexible couple of sidekicks, when you wanted to deal ranged damage you could use jubilee, and armor could engage to provide cover to jubilee. This match it was a really close call.

Re: The Book of Armor - VOTE for Playtesting

A bump to 100 might be in order ... she's looking really solid so far!

Re: The Book of Armor - VOTE for Playtesting

English is also omael's second languauge from what I've gathered so it might have gotten a bit lost in translation.

Re: The Book of Armor - Playtesting

Thanks Scapemage.

I was trying some armies out of my new figures from Christmas, and wow are Lawmen fun now! And I haven't even thrown in Hawkmen or Code:Blues yet. The Mutant Sidekick mechanic is great, and I;m sure she'll be a nice human (mutant) shield for Sidekick armies.

, Yes or No? Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 90-100.
- Give a brief overview. Armor did great. With 2 Mutant Sidekicks, Professor X isn’t really needed to run a good Mutant army. Psionic Defense helps her through those tough times, and even with the vulnerabilities, a small bump in cost might be necessary.

- Give a brief overview. 100 just doesn’t work after this fight. Psionic Defense really helped a ton keeping her alive. It worked against most everything, except when Armor whiffed. Armor dished out some strong attack rolls, but they were absorbed by the technology induced in Lexcorp suits. Mutant Sidekick still came into play even with X in the army, allowing 2 Mutants to have turns even if they’re out of X’s range.
