You can transfer ownership of a google doc, so you wouldn't have to deal with permissions once you do that

Exactly, unless there is a catastrophic event... even in that case someone can just copy/paste into a new googledoc as a viewer and edit the first post with the new link. It's far better than doing anything on a forum post.

As a short-term measure, you could reduce the size of the post by using a shortcut syntax in all the links.
Basically, global-replace every URL that begins with

http://www.heroscapers.com/
     or
https://www.heroscapers.com/

to instead begin with just

heroscapers.com/

I did this on the entire post and it reduced the size by 4K. Fortunately this is a pretty easy transformation to undo later, if you wanted to (unless you somehow needed the distinction between http and https modes in the original).

I'll post the resulting transformation as my next post, so you can see that the links all still work in this form and everything looks right.

There are also some areas that could be further trimmed. I just happened to notice extra closing bold tags when bold was not open (harmless, but doing nothing except wasting bytes) and an entry where the unit name (Diorite Defender) was split in the file and both parts had their own copy of the URL, resulting in two redundant links. I have not addressed things like this in the post below, but I could certainly clean out stuff like that as well and maybe gain a few hundred more bytes. I didn't spend any time trying to find out how much of this kind of thing there is, but constantly edited source files typically do pick up a lot of barnacles over the years.

(For those wondering, I initially did try to make it even smaller by using relative dot-slash forms, but apparently this forum software treats them as literal URLs and thus that didn't work.)

Not rushing you guys of course, just curious about the process. ^_^ Appreciate all of your hard work on this! I've only gotten into VC recently and it's been incredibly impressive to see the quality and hard work put into it on both sides.

Yes, it's behind the scenes, as is anything C3V-related. Much of the SoV process is public, but the United Fanscape Review parts are not.
