Shopping for SoV/C3V minis

The At-43 UNA Star Troopers Unit Box has 8 figures, enough for two squads...but both the Attachment Boxes have only 6 figures each, which is only 1 1/2 squads per box. (so 2 boxes is 3 squads) The Attachment boxes have very similar sculpts and can be used, because they all look alike..but the figures that we are using are from the Unit Box. ;)
 
Well, it looks like I'll be getting everyone from the latest expansion (minus death commander), and the ram army box for christmas. My C3V armies will soon be unstoppable!

And actually, if anyone knows how to acquire Death Commander without having to drop $15 for that entire pack, then I might get him too.

FYI

We are still planning on using 3-4 more sculpts the the pack the Deathcommander comes from. ;)

So that is only $3.75 - $5.00 per sculpt.
 
I've only started to look for some of this C3V stuff and cant seem to find Captain Newton for Kira Jax. Don't suppose anyone has purchased it or knows where to get it.(I checked all the links in the OP and ebay)

Kira Jax is, in fact, the only released C3V figure that I don't own. (And one of the few unreleased figures I don't own, FTM.) I.e., no, I don't know where to get her ... but, if you find out, please report back. :)

Right. Any time the C3V uses a figure that is primarily aquired in a multi pack of figures, we do our best to use all the figres in the pack eventually. It's not lost on us that the Deathcommander is a pretty pricey figure at the moment since the other 5 sculpts in the box are not in C3V use currently (maybe). ;)

There's a metal figure with that name on eBay but looks different and really pricey. Maybe there is an alternate figure around?
 
The Captain Newton figure is pretty hard to get a hold of.

I had the same problem when I got my first group/wave of C3V figures. Around this past May/June I finally took the plunge and spent about $8-10 on eBay for her. Unfortunately my advice is to keep looking on a regular basis because that is what I did. Hopefully, you will find one with a reasonable price, or at least not more than a Quahon or Van Nessing.

Gaming conventions like GenCon could be a good place to hunt for her. There are probably game sellers in the dealer's rooms who are still trying to get rid of their AT-43 and Confrontation minis now that the games are discontinued.

There are 2 available on eBay right now, but with shipping they end up being $12 or more each. :shock: I'm probably going to repaint an extra Princess Leia Star Wars mini.

My two cents: Deathcommander, Red and silver ones all look great. Silver one even has a choice of weaponry.

The upper grey "Wolf" (red shoulderpads) and black & white Mech both look too silly; one does not cross Thundercats with MechWarrior and enjoy the offspring, nor does combining MechWarrior & Neanderthal look good. The green & purple one, I could be persuaded to use that, at least it looks like a Soulborg. You could name it Grurple.
 
Well, yeah, but that Neanderthal mech has two interchangeable right arm sculpts... and one of 'em has him holding another soulborg's severed arm and using it as a melee weapon.

If that's wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Huh. You're right. I have the set at home. I honestly did not see the second arm behind the Neanderthal, probably because I was overwhelmed by the stupidness of the sculpt.
No, really, I only extricated the DeathCommander so far. Sure, the Neanderthal may be covered in bullet holes, impact dents and shell implosions, but he. Still. Looks. Like a top-heavy. Blob of Dumb. I can't stand 'im.

And please. Not the Thundercats Soulborg. For the love of 'Scape, no. :pray:

I'm not sure what the first one sold for but I bought the second for $7.50 + postage. Not sure if I got a good deal but either way im happy. :)

I wasn't going to say anything, but I'm the one who got the first one. I only put in a bid of 99 cents. Figured someone would out bid me. Once I get my Trade List sorted out, I'll have it available - well, after I receive it.
