Shopping for SoV/C3V minis

There have been several posts in various places asking for suggestions about where to get the figures used for SoV and C3V units.

I have found one of the best options is to just Google the name of the figure used for the unit.

That will usually be enogh to help you find what you are looking for. If that doesn't work as well as you would like you can choose the "Shopping" option for your Google search and that will bring up quite a few places you can purchase the figure(s) including amazon and ebay.

If you find a site where scapers can get a particular fig used be sure to post a link in this thread.

I will try to update the bottom of this post with as current as possible info on figure specific links.

Just to get you started, here are a few places you can check out...

Nice! I linked to this thread from the C3V miniatures thread.

I've been searching for a little while now, and I can't seem to find Omegacron's figure for sale anywhere. Any tips?

Any Mechwarrior Marauder IIC will work as it's the same sculpt.

The Confrontation Phemera Omega figures used for the Gnids are basically the same thing as the Phemera Alpha figures except that the Alphas are green instead of tan. As long as C3V doesn't have plans for them, they should be good stand-ins if you can't find the Omegas.

When I checked earlier today, Miniature Market was out of the unit boxes of the Omegas and Alphas, but did have some individual units in their Confrontation Bitz page for $1.75 to $2.00 each.

I think the Phemera Alphas are longer, upright, but the Phemera Omegas are shorter, prone.

Also, this might be a good proxy from the WarHammer 40,000 line:
Tyranid Hormagaunt box (12 figures, must be assembled & painted)

I don't know how they compare, scale-wise.

I'll check when I finally get home from work tonight.

They are the exact same sculpts...just different colors. (I was shipped the green ones my mistake once, and kept them...I plan on painting them Marro colors at a later date)
Ninja'd before I even started typing!
Yes, they are the same.
That's good to know.

If you find a good source for a particular C3V figure, post a link in this thread and I will update the OP with the info.

Thanks for thinking of your fellow 'scapers!

Troll and Toad still has a lot of the figures - they have 4 terror wights for Preyblood Thralls, and I believe they still have both vampires and the D&D minis figures from last week's release.

Unfortunately, they don't stock the figures for Zaeus or Omegacron.

Speaking of which, I have an extra Omegacron figure for trade. See the trade list in my sig.

There are still some Mechwarrior Marauders on sale on Ebay so while there is a mildly limited supply they do exists for sale still. I will be working on creating a painting guide soon for those that want to repaint theirs to match the Omnicron scheme.

Didn't realize there were some back on eBay. Just bought one, one of the Resistance Fighters I was missing, and two more Preybloods. Can't wait to get and rebase them. I would love to get a tutorial on how to repaint Omegacron just to match his colour well and know exactly what parts of him need to go blue.

BargainBinGamer is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. I accidentally ordered Alphas instead of Omegas, and he (the owner) is reducing the price of Omegas to ship me a new box.

I won't recommend Trollandtoad, though. Their DnD prices are inflated and the shipping was ridiculous, although the 50 WoW minis deal looks pretty good. But go to Auggies for DnD, if you can.

By the way, anybody wanna buy some Alphas? Or post a repaint tutorial?

They have 7 AT-43 Dragonov Kolossus Red Blok Unit Boxes too. Close enough to the right minis.

I was going to buy them both but I wasn't sure about buying from someone in China. I've only bought from people in North America. If it's not that big of a deal, which I'm assuming it's not, I'll probably buy the Kolossus Unit Box. I already ordered a set of Phemera Omegas from another site. Would have been nice to get them together.

Anyone see the Rams for sale anywhere?

Apparently I didn't check Miniature Market. Mea culpa.

Also the AT-43 Karmans Kaptar 1 Attachment Box has the same sculpt as Guide Darius (Zaeus) and there are 51 available @ 9.00. This sculpt has ihis goggles over his eyes and is missing his arm guns, but is the same sculpt and is a good "proxy". This attachment box is also easy to find on ebay.
