Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Thanos

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Dora Milaje

 I had no clue. Thank goodness for wikipedia. Wakanda forever!

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Warriors Three

A few new additions to the Shermanverse, Thor's adventuring companions, the Warriors Three:

Over the years, I've found it increasingly challenging in Superhero-scape to find new ways to design all the characters whose powers essentially boil down to "super strong and good at fighting." In the case of these three, since Asgardians are basically Marvel's equivalent of fantasy heroes, I decided to have them fit into the traditional RPG roles of Striker (Fandral), Crowd Control (Hogun) and Defender (Volstagg).

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Warriors Three

Solid designs! I like it. The card aesthetics are also really well done.

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Warriors Three

 Now you're cooking with gas! If you want to do playtests, I've got my own versions, and so have minis for all three! I've also collected as many other Asgardians and their foes as I could over the years for Norse mythological games.

Good use of some existing powers.

Is there any maximum bonus on Volstagg's Father Figure? (One usually sees one on these types of additive powers).

No cap on the bonus. I figured the maximum bonus a player could realistically get would be +8 if they teamed Volstagg with the four Power Pack kids or the four hobbits, and if a player wants to build a bad, unwieldy army just to see how many attacks they can get with Volstagg, I say go for it.

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Warriors Three

Sherman and the fellas are still at it. Happy gaming to all at the Gang of Four (and Toto, I mean Tornado, too).

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Warriors Three

Lately we've been the Gang of Five with new member Thrasher Darkrai, but yeah - the Brooklyn Heroscape train just keeps chugging along. Good to see you, Mr. Helm.

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Captain America (WWII)

Made a card for Steve Rogers when he was a noob:

One of these days I plan on running this version of Cap in an all-WWII themed army with Bucky, Sgt. Rock, Easy Company, Sgt. Drake and the Airborne Elite.

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Captain America (WWII)

Looks good. I've done some WWII games, using also Blackhawk, Lady Blackhawk, and the Blackhawks (Squad). Also Red Skull and other various Nazi villains. I also have a custom card for a German soldier squad (see my own Supers customs thread).

I like it! A very clean design. And unlike the Hasbro version, the 6 move makes sense considering he is a super soldier.

Agreed! I repped you but signed it TQ instead of TW. Fat fingers!

Thanks, that's why I also gave my modern day Cap custom a 6 Move. After all, I remember my theater erupting in cheers during Avengers Infinity War when this happened:

(Too bad Steve and T'Challa are breaking Heroscape's rules by not stopping in water, though.)

Would love to see the Rock and Easy cards.

Spoiler Alert!

While I am not a big fan of going to movie theaters, the audience really getting into it is one of the best parts of the movie theater experience.

Yes, the consistency test checks out.

Re: Sherman Davies' Marvel customs - Captain America (WWII)

I like the take on young Cap based on his first comic appearance (no shield throw). More importantly, I like the fact that SD is still at it giving us new cards.

If only sock pocket were still around these parts to make these cards come alive for those of us that don't witness the actual battles played by the Gang of Five.

Tornado, as chas says Rock and Easy are in my DC thread (the OP has an index of all those cards), but in honor of the sadly defunct tradition of Marvel/DC crossovers, here they are:

Made a common squad card for the Kree, just in case I ever want to do Kree/Skrull War scenarios, or maybe a Kree vs. Skrull vs. Marro vs. Soulborg sci-fi extravaganza:

Kree Imperium: Insta Grab!

If you want to do a SciFi playtest/game, I've collected some figures for the Kree, Shi'ar, and Skrull, but only done a few games with some of them. Of course you could add various Marvel heroes like the Imperial Guard, Captain Marvel, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the X-Men too to flesh it out. I've got some of my own custom cards for this too.

You could even come up with a monthly game scenario for this, and I'd be happy to play it! We could check out which cards I could provide for it, since I've got a catalogue of all my billions of cards. I think the scifi races are on a separate list too.

Just went to update the index with new card art for an old custom, only to realize that apparently I never got around to posting her in the first place, so I guess this is sort of a belated post:

Really glad I picked up a nicer mini for her, otherwise I never would've caught that she was missing.

Her Move, Attack and Defense are already pretty high, so she'd have to drain a pretty beefy hero to get any benefit. At least using the unit's stats are optional; in case it has a lower Move than her but a higher Attack, for example.

I like that it negates the unit's powers but it might be more fun to have her also use the unit's special powers herself. It's a great squad killer, though!
