ScapeCon IV: August 7-11, 2024

Slight delay- I'll send out payment instructions in about a week (hopefully by Thursday, February 8 ). You'll still have 2 weeks to pay upon receiving the instructions before the people on the wait list are placed into the remaining open spots.

Amazing we're already almost capped out (53 previous attendees signed up + 16 Waitlisters)...Incredible...just incredible.

SCAPECON UPDATE

Payments for registration for anyone who has attended in the past will open on February 17. Registration for people on the waitlist will open on March 2.
Payments can no longer be made through "friends and family" as we have established an LLC. As such, we have to pay a fee to either Venmo or PayPal (Mike will be providing payment details) as well as State LLC fees and accounting fees. Accordingly, badge prices have increased to cover these costs.

Full Badge Price $425
No Breakfast Badge Price $350
No Meals Badge Price $200
Single Day Badge Prices TBD

We are offering a limited number of No Meal Badges this year. As most people know, we need to purchase a certain of amount of food from the hotel in order to have use of the ballroom, the dining room, and the board rooms. The increase in attendance over the past three years has outpaced the increase in the hotel's food purchase requirement, and as such, we are offering this option on a trial basis.

For comparison purposes GenCon announced its badge prices yesterday. The four day badge is $143 which does not include tickets for tournaments. If you want to play in a comparable number of tournaments at GenCon, you are looking at about $250 for the badge and tournament play.

Please pm me or post if you have any questions. Thanks.

Thanks for the update.

This will be my first time attending, what are the rules concerning custom game components. Not figures, but things like army cards or order makers. Can I bring and use my custom made cards? Also, do I need to bring my own figures?

Cards: fine, as long as your opponent can recognize the card and you refer to the official card wording for rules purposes.

Order Markers: go for it!

Dice: short answer is no. Long answer is somewhere else in this subforum.

You do need to bring your own figures, but borrowing is encouraged.

REGISTRATION UPDATE

The bank has finally approved our account, but OEAO needs to make one more trip in to sign another document next week. Registration should open towards the end of next week. Stay tuned....

Payment instructions have been sent via .org. In 2 weeks, remaining spots will open to those one the waitlist.

Badge prices have been updated in the OP.

Updated payment instructions have been sent. Badge prices and payment dates have also been updated to reflect the changes.

Priority sign-up attendees: remember to get your payment in by tomorrow!

The first X people (looking like X will be 16) will be able to pay beginning on March 14. Payments for everyone other than those people will open April 1.

Edit: I realize now that the OP could have been clearer, so I apologize for that. The TLDR is not quite accurate with regards to the non-X waitlist people.

I just signed up on Heroscape.org for scapecon. I’m on the waitlist as SecretNinjaMage, but please note that it ought to have been spelled SneakyNinjaMage.

The first 15 people on the waitlist are set to sign up on .org. I believe there will be 1 more spot as well, but I'm still waiting on confirmation (and there could be anywhere from 1-3 more spots available).
