Hello everyone and welcome to the RANDOM DRAFT LEAGUE!
This is a brand-new online bi-weekly league. You'll usually have 2 weeks to play your game, if you are a bit late (non-heroscape life stuff happens unfortunately) you may request an extension. Also easter, christmas, scapecon, gencon, american turkey thing etc... everyone gets an extension.

A season will be composed of 5 Swiss-round Games then the top 2 players of the season will battle it out in THE GRAND FINALS. Winner will be crowned season champion.
Ranking of the regular season will be based of number of wins and SoS.
A season will last for about 3 months.
I am planning to start the season around April 1st.
It is highly recommended to use the RANDOM DRAFT LEAGUE DISCORD to schedule matches, stay in touch with announcements and stuff.
The format is the ONE AND ONLY RANDOM DRAFT POOL.
This event will use DELTA POINTS

- Point Total: 500 points (delta)
- Max Figures: 18
- Max Hexes: 24 (sorry not sorry hounds)
- Classic, VC allowed, AoA unreleased ALLOWED, Marvel NOT ALLOWED (almost did it lol)

Randomized Draft (Strike 1)
So basically for those who did play the first random draft tournament it's the exact same format as last time EXCEPT:
- VC and AoA are allowed
- Ro12 goes away
- You place after the whole draft is done, and do the usual online placement process
- 24 hex limit
So it's only simplifications really.

Treasure Glyphs and Trap
Just like figures, the 2 treasure glyphs that will be at your disposal will be randomly picked from a pool, they get placed face down, and when you step on you roll D20 to see which of the two treasure glyphs you get (1-10 get glyph#1, 11-20 get glyph #2).
Also you do the usual roll to check if you get the T-glyph or not (6+), but the trap is actually "nothing happens" this tournament, you just don't get the glyph but can retry later if you want to.

Searing amulet (Searing intensity)
Heroic Rune (attack +1)
Talisman of defense (defense +1)
Holy symbol of Pelor (+2 attack vs undeads)
Brooch of shieilding (disengage)
Giant hunter stone (+1attk and +1def vs large and huge)
Single use:
Potion of healing (heal 3)
Whetstone of venom (poison, use before rolling a normal attack, if the attacks wounds add 2 more wounds)
Ring of protection (def +3, choose to use or not after attack dice are rolled)
Bracers of Teleportation (use Tul-Bak-Ra Teleport power)
Cloak of invisibility (invisibility, no visible hit zones until end of round or until you attack)
Belt of Giant Strengh (+2 attack)
Scarab of invulnerability (ignore wounds, when you receive 1 or more wound roll D20, 1-15 ignore 1 wound, 16+ ignore all wounds)

Randomized Draft (Strike 1)
- For this event, the tournament organizer will provide a unique draft pool for each game. The pool will consist of 15 COMPLETELY random cards.
Random Draft Creation Rules

-No unique cards will be listed more than once in the pool
-Common squads will appear x4
-Uncommon heroes will appear x1
-Common heroes will appear x6
-Generation will stop at 15 cards.
- Before each game, players do a dice-off.
- The winner of the dice-off decides whether to "strike and pick second" or "pick first"
- If the winner chooses ‘pick first’ then the loser of the dice-off will ‘strike and pick second’
- Before any unit selections, the player who strikes and picks second may choose one army card in the draft pool and ban it from play in this game. If an army card of a common unit is selected, they can choose to ban any number of copies of this card they want to (from just 1, up to 4 in case of common squads and up to 6 in case of a common hero). The strike may be declined. Draft then proceeds as normal below
- The person who picks first chooses one card's worth of figures. Players then alternate picking and placing one card per turn from the drafting pool.
- For each unique army card pick, you choose a single card's worth of figures.
- For each common unit army card pick, you make take as many army cards of that type as you like (up to the max available). Each squad past the first one you select will use your subsequent draft pick(s).
Examples
Spoiler Alert!So if I am picking first and select 2 squads of Deepwyrm Drow, then I will have forfeited my 2nd pick.
If I select Deepwyrm Drow x3 then my opponent will get the next 3 picks before I choose again (assuming they do not pick a multiple squad choice)
Later in the draft if more of that same squad are available, either player can pick those up as well.

Matchups

- Players continue drafting until they pass or until they have no options within the 500 point, 18 figure limits. Once a player passes or has no placeable options, their draft ends, and the other player may continue drafting until they have no options remaining.
- Once the drafting phase is done, players enter the placing phase, the player who lost dice-off chooses to place first or defer. Player who places first place his whole army (if they have figure to set, they do it now) then the other player places his whole army and eventually set figures.
*Airborne Elite and Rechets of Bogdan count towards the figure limit.
