[Pod 1] UKUSHISA PRIDE (Blazing Firecats) - Editing

Considering the race is Ukushisa, Prowlers or Firecats works fine here. Maybe with a slight nod to Prowlers if "Firecats" ever becomes a VC race at some point in the future.

I liked Pride better, but I understand it from a power text perspective.

Did a fairly quick playtest with the Ukushisas vs LoveElemental.

Map was a simple ice and snow map with a highway in the middle. Valda was off on the edge of the highway.

Armies were fairly uncompetitve:

Me:
Minions of Utgar x2
Avernus
Ukushisa Prowlers

vs

LoveElemental:
Ashi-Dhulu
Banshees x3
Tomb Skeletons x3

445 each

My dice with the Prowlers were notoriously hot, as they inflicted wounds on Ashi and killed 3 banshees and Skeletons. Avernus did a bunch of damage with Wave of Fire too, because I had a Prowler parked on Valda for a little bit. We called the game early since she had a 3 wound Ashi, a Banshee, and 4 skeletons vs 3 Prowlers and all 6 Minions.

With 5 defense all the time, I could see these guys getting bumped to 110 or 120 points no problem since they can basically pick their targets against slow armies and even when they do get engaged, their defense does well at keeping them going. In my game I even forfeited the extra attack per turn for a bit and two of them still did some considerable damage.

In all fairness, my dice were really good and we are both out of practice, so I reckon that would affect the results some.
 
Looking at some of the latest discussion, I feel like Ukushisa Prowlers has the most support of the renaming suggestions. @Scytale, is there anything else that needs to be done in Editing here, or should we move them back on to Testing?

2. Are we recycling a power name? No, Lava Resistant is an existing power.

3. If we are reusing an existing power, is the wording exactly the same? Yes

4. What happens when the powers are negated (Rod of Negation, Exploit Weakness)? If negated by Rod of Negation, the Prowlers could not gain dice from Combined Heat, and would be affected by molten lava and lava fields. Exploit Weakness has no effect, but could in theory cause a Prowler to be affected by molten lava if the Prowler moved. Do any powers continue to have effects after being negated? If a Prowler is in molten lava when negated, it will not be affected by that molten lava (until after it moves out). Is this clear from the wording?

5. Should the powers affect destructible objects? Combined Heat can be used to boost attacks against DOs.

6. Do any of the powers unintentionally synergize with other players' units? Combined Heat is limited to Ukushisa Prowlers "you control."

7. Do the powers allow turn stacking? No

8. Are any of the powers conditional on a future event? No Is that future event inevitable or avoidable?

9. Does it have a d20 power? No If is a small, medium, or large Unique Hero, how does it interact with Mystic Sacrifice? If it is Tricky, how does it interact with Queen of Thieves? If it is Undead, how does it interact with Curse of the Mummy?

10. Do the powers create out-of-turn attacks? No

11. Are any powers conditional on the source of damage? No

12. Are any powers expected to work after all figures have been destroyed? No If so, is that clearly worded? How does it interact with revivals, via Glyph of Sturla or otherwise?

Well, for the most part the group is in the refinement phase, but frankly I don't care much about that.
