I like the Benji Brackets idea, but extended play doesn't seem like an appropriate title for the one part. (Really hope I don't lose game 25!)
After this is done, will you be posting all the rankings from 1-16, or just the top 8 or so?

The Benji brackets are just a way of getting everyone four games against the right people. After the games are done, we can figure out final rankings by record and strength of schedule, like usual. In theory, the winner of game 30 in the consolation brackets could end up in second place.

Armies utilizing Scatter, Scurry, and other, out-of-turn abilities should be penalized severely. :)

Also, another duration request: extending the first round to at least Wednesday (Dec. 27th) will be greatly appreciated by the holiday travelers.

Agreed! Perhaps the online format will finally lead to what I've been dreaming of for years: the complete banning of Rats.

Now if only Raelin posed problems for online play too.... :lol:

Tournament Bracket

Before starting any games reread the first post! As we have been going, things have been updated or changed. Remember to use Griffin's HeroSkype system. Follow the dates closely, I will be updating them in a minute to allow for more time for Round One. Finally, I know that armies and everything is up, but please don't start your games till Round One begins, I want to make sure everyone gets the chance to check their armies on the post. Round One will start tomorrow afternoon, I will make a post announcing the start.

Anybody have anything else they would like mentioned before we begin?

It looks like bamo used my unrandomized map list, not the randomized one (I had sent him a spreadsheet that spat out randomized lists). We'll get this sorted and have a final draw shortly, I think. Looks like he's got the randomized outputs, now.

Unfortunately for me, you and Ninja play first round, and I'm slated to draw Sixthflagbearer (if we both win) in the second round. However, if you or Ninja can take out Robber (or if FtC can do it the round before), then (if I win out) I don't have to see 10th until (possibly) the finals.

Also, I apologize for my ignorance, but does this list indicate the match-ups for the first round? Will I be playing with Garenex? It wasn't entirely clear to me.

Fearless round 1 predictions!
  1. Izner (Agent Carr, Laglor, Marcu Esenwein, Nakita Agents, Otonashi, Warforged Soldeirs) versus Charr21 (Warforged Soldiers X2, Fen Hydra, Krav Maga Agents, Marro Warriors, Crixus)

    Hodgepodgey goodness all around, but I like Charr21's hodgepodge more.

  2. Son of Arathorn (Ornak, Sir Hawthorne, Brunak, Heavy Gruts x3, Isamu) versus Megapower999 (Sonlen, Othkurik, Wyvern, Roman Archers, Fire elemental, Air elemental)

    SoA rides his "carry Hawthorne away, then let him go to work" strategy into the second round.

  3. Lefton4ya (10th Regimentx5, Samuel Brown, Raelin) vs. Benji (Atlaga, Mindflayer, Minions x3)

    Lefton4ya WTFs the minions into oblivion, probably kicking a defenseless puppy in the process.

  4. Garenex (Acolarh, Kyntela Gwyn, Arkmer, Ulginesh, Jorhdawn, Chardis) vs. The CEE (10th regiment x4, Brunak, Raelin(RotV), Isamu, Marcu)

    Elf wizards are not the worst thing to face the 10th with, and Fulcrum is a good map for the matchup... but still, I gotta pick The CEE.

  5. Filthy The Clown (Werewolf Lord X 2, Van Nessing, Raelin, Marro Warriors) vs. Robber (10th regiment of foot x4, Raelin 1.0, Eltahale)

    Filthy has a very cool army, and I give him props for bringing C3V into the event. But Robber's army is just murder on anything that doesn't have abundant range, and I don't think the Marro Warriors cut it. Robber.

  6. Ninja Status (Zelrig, Raelin 1.0, Sentinels of Jandar x2, Eldgrim the Viking Champion) vs. Kinseth (Greenscales X 4, Raelin RTV, Nilfheim, Isamu)

    I actually like Ninja Status's army a lot. But he drew the wrong matchup (and the wrong map) here, I think. Kinseth.

  7. AwesomeJ-AD2011 (Tor-Kul-Na, Raelin the Kyrie Warrior ROTV, 2x Marrden Nagrubs, Sonlen) vs. Sixthflagbearer (Mezzos x4, Krug, Kaemon, Marcu)

    If I could watch one game, I think it would be this one, and not just because it's using my map. This is a very cool matchup. Not much for the Mezzos to kill here, and both TKN and Sonlen can bypass Exoskeleton. But Krug... yeesh. I hate myself for it, because I love TKN, but I think I'm picking Sixthflagbearer here.

  8. Fi Skirata (Blastatrons x1, Gladiatrons x1, Q10, DeathWalker 9000, Zettian Guards, Isamu, Otonashi) vs. dok (Raelin RotV, Sir Gilbert, Tarn Viking Warriors, Knights of Weston x 4)

Oh ye of little faith, my Raelin-backed Marro are going to out-maneuver those slow soldiers, right after my WL turns Eltahale into a ravenous howling machine. :)

Robber, in all probability we won't be playing our game until after Xmas. I will touch base with you via PM.

I was Working out who i thought would win based on armies that how i spotted the missing army

I think that it will be between Sixthflagbeaer and Charr21 in the final

Consult Benji's brackets for your matchups in each round (as well as your map assignment, 1-32, from the list). Yes, you are playing Garanex in the first round, on Fulcrum.
