When I originally found Griffin's thread I did a search and just did it again and found very little on the likes of playing online. There was a lot of discussion, but nobody went through and put together a good system, that is why I gave credit to Griffin (and I forgot to mention Bats, but I will).

Funny, but that would be strictly coincidental. Bat and I played about 2 and a half years ago, and Spidey'tilIDie played about 2 years ago. Also, Mr Crimson and I played about 1 and a half years ago.

I have always called it HeroSkype as well. I wonder if you or Boromir didn't pick up on it in a conversation somewhere and forgot about it.

No worries! It most definitely will not start tomorrow, based on issues of college finals I have been asked to start mid-December.

Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to let everyone know:

Fulcrum by Dignan has been added as a map, link is in the first post. Also, I just want to make sure everyone is familiar with Griffin's HeroSkype system, so please make sure you read through his thread and use the map keys that have been made (thank you wonderful Heroscape community) when playing your games.

Also, please get your input in on the glyph pool in the thread! Even if you aren't playing we would love your opinions! I don't want to have to decide on the glyph pool myself... The link is at the bottom of the first post.

Indeed; this is just a reasonable and logical idea with a fairly obvious name. It's no surprise that it's been independently developed twice.

Oh, and sign me up. I can do skype/PM/e-mail, although my skype hours would be irregular.

I don't mind you settting up tournament related games, but this may get more attention in Griffin's thread.

Also on that note. I may ask you guys to figure out when to play games through PM once the tournament starts as to not clutter up this thread, or I could make another thread for people to use to figure out games. I'm not totally sure how i'm doing that yet, but if you have an idea please let me know! What do you think about having another thread?

Also, everyone has been added and we are nearing 16! Woo! But that means I need the maybes to let me know soonish. I told some people we will not be starting till mid December for their finals, so if I could get a definite by say around December 5th or 6th? That would be great! Also two people marked in red have not told me their prefered way of playing so let me know please and I can update that. And finally, armies need to be posted in this thread or sent to me in a PM. Each players army will get posted close before the beginning of the tournament, maybe a couple days before Round one starts. Just again, thanks all for being apart of this and hope things go well! Being the first time there may be rough patches, but I'm having fun putting it together already. Happy 'scaping! Or... 'skyping...

Or if you are playing live, skype, phone, ect. you could have your opponent (assuming they have the right pieces) check for LOS, but from your piece before you attack if you are unsure... Just an idea.

Also, on a different note, I was thinking, and does any one else think it would be really cool if the semi-finals and finals were a live broadcast? I think it would be awesome! Would you guys have interest in that? It's a ways a way, but may want to start thinking of different ways it could be done. Just a thought.

If someone is proxying terrain, it seems right to me that the player that is not using proxy, should automatically win any LOS dispute.

Absolutely! That is exactly what Griffin was trying to do with his system, connect players together! I'll add you to the list, just let me know the different ways you can play so I can add them. Also, this might be a stupid question, but would time zones be a problem? You may find it hard to get games in if it is always 2 am over here when your available. But I'm sure it can be worked out! Just keep that in mind when planning your games.
