"Dry"
We live
our hearts beat
our feet tread
the broken, dried earth

The sun beats down on us,
a great eye,
sucking the life
out of wearied limb
as we walk
tired
sore
hating every breath we breath
Hating ourselves
as we tread the unloving dirt

We live
our hearts beat
our feet tread
the broken earth
our lips
spew hatred

Our hearts beat as one,
our feet tread the cracked, dead earth,
and we move on,
looking...

Just something I wrote on a moment of inspiration. I have a bunch more somewhere in some notebooks. Just thought you guys might like to read them.
